Lets hope its just a broken collar bone for Wood. Usually can come back after a month from those (and he probably needs some rest after those hits)

2001 draftees: Ball, X Clarke, Dal Santo, Goose, Joey.

2021 draftees: Sharman, Nas, Owens, Windhager, Moose.

20 years between drinks, but is it time to recognise this year as the one that turned us around?

Nas - I can't say much more that hasn't already been said. He's gone from a skinny kid who noone really wanted us to draft to a potential All Australian in the space of 3 years. Yes, he was always the best kick in the draft, but most wanted Vic boys Sinn, Chesser or Hobbs - inspired choice!

Owens - when Mitchito hits, you stay hit. He has such a presence around the ball, you can see his opponents sense the pressure. The guy is a beast, the term contested bull gets thrown around flippantly but he genuinely scares the opposition.

Windy - I think it was Stav who described him as dynamic and that's easily the best was to describe him. The attack on the footy tonight was first rate, a little Lenny like in a contest in the way that you know what you are going to get in tight. Impossible not to love his endeavour, could become a real barometer and super important in a midfield that has been light on.

Sharman - from the midseason draft, but he's still just a pup in footy terms. He offers an amazing point of difference to the forwardline. Imagine putting your best defenders on King, Membrey and Owens - then Sharman who is probably our best kick at goal gets the 4th 'tall'. Yes the other 3 get the love, but Cooper is massive for us.

Not sure Moose makes it. He can be the Josh Houlihan of the group.

At the game it's the work rate that impresses from a lot of our youth. Windhager, Byrnes, Wilson, Henry etc all run end to end at a phenomenal pace and their work ethic is first rate. Really impressed with Sharminator too, he did a mountain of running in that match. He has an awkward gait but he is effective. He ran flat out to cover players that weren't his and was end to end all night.

Ross threw it out there at the pre-game presser questioning if Collingwood had done the work, he knew we had done it and they hadn't.

Our extra work paid off in the 2nd half, we outran and outworked Collingwood, like he said there is no switch you can flick it's all workrate.

You have to put the work boots on to get a game under Ross, Crouch didn't put them on and got dropped, you've got to bring the work boots

Henry is the first player in a long time to make me lose my words! Wow!
As some have mentioned,NAS is now elite.
Bit concerned about the marks we give up, the lack of winning taps to advantage and our second ruck. We fix that and 2 of our kids become elite kids and top 2 is in our future.

We made frampton look like Jeremy McGovern

Riley bonner and Cordy counting their chicken tonight.

Although cordy did redeem himself. Some very costly mistakes.

Anyways what a great result.

From defence - stocker and battle enormous. Ross just gets it

What a win! Reckon Jones was important after coming on, adds another dimension to the midfield

Windhager, Owens, Jones and Steele were lining up in the centre a bit and it looked a really nice mix and made the Pies look stodgy.
