If it was locked it, Sheed would be to the left of Libba but he isn't. ;)

What do you think kenty, should I pull the trigger or hold fire with no fwd E this week?
Hold fire, would only trade if you're looking at a forward donut if you get a late withdrawal

Walsh has the potential to get past 500k, a number of midfield rookies could, but feel he could be a season long bench keeper also potentially. Would only turf Libba to be honest if you're going up to Sheed

Libba > Sheed was the other option I was considering. Would still need to downgrade Punchy to facilitate it. What do you think mate, are there enough possies/points in the Doggies midfield to go around where Libba averages a minimum 90ppg until the byes?

Considering he hasn't averaged 97-98 since 2014, I'd be conservative and say 80-85

I don't think there'll be much difference between say Libba, Cousins, Walsh, Scott and Constable, whereas who knows Sheeds potential

Yeh, I was just looking up Libba's career stats. Surprised at his DT/AFLF record compared to SC. Only 1 season above 23 possies a game. I think Sheed will go 27-30 possies a game this year, but obviously a lot less tackles per game than Libba. Gut feel is Sheed goes low 100's. I think at that his opening price he represents bottomed out Heppel type value from last year as a discounted M8 keeper.

maaaaaaaaaaaaan I still want the rocky but have no viable trades to get him :(

You chose Crouch originally and he didn't let you down with 109. Why trade him?

I don't want to trade Brad but I do want to get Sheed in as a priority, trying to find a way to facilitate it by putting some ideas out there. With only 31k in the bank I'll need to give up an asset. Alternative suggestions are welcome.

Don't forget Sheed was average when Gaff was in the team. Averaged 69 when Gaff was in the team last year, with only 1 score over 90 in 12 games. Even got dropped to the WAFL for a few weeks. When Gaff got suspended he averaged 96 in 6 games. He might not go back to a 69 average but you'd think Gaffs return would have to hurt his scoring potential.

Gaff comes back in round 3.

People jumping on the likes of Sheed and rockliff so early when both teams don't have Thier key midfielder.

Even if he does go up 100k in the next 4 weeks I'd rather see how they both go once the main midfielder blokes are back.

Yes, it's interesting because both of their performances in round 1 were very much continuations of their JLT. It's not like anything changed there.

There were definitely valid reasons for not starting either, and those reasons have not changed. Rockliff was always going to cause a panic if he dropped a big one (everyone has seen him go on his ridiculous tears before) but if you didn't like Sheed after JLT I can't see how you like him that much more now that you'd gut your team to get him in.

I agree, people who didn't start with Rocky shouldn't be jumping on so soon. You know he will burn you the minute you trade him in.

Have to keep balta as he will be back next week and should be 3-4 weeks in a row with Riewoldt out. Only option this week is burgess to def via dpp and hore to parker. Will most likely do it as drew will be on the chopping block next week with wines and hartlett returning and don’t want to field balta, especially as I’m already linc McCarthy.

I'm not trying to pre predict what happens to any rookies any more. Been burnt before trying to do it too many times. I'll treat them as playing until it's confirmed that they aren't.

The same goes for Sheed mate, thats coming from a West Coast supporter who started with him.
I know hes been scoring well lately but our midfield vs Brisbane had a very weak performance overall with Sheed at the helm.
For our midfield to perform the rest of the mids will need to step up which i believe will reduce sheeds overall performance/score.
Likewise when Gaff comes back Sheed wont get as much cheap outside ball as he has been getting over the JLT/round one.
I hope i'm wrong as I ended up starting Sheed but IMO his scoring will drop of moving forward.

He had a game high 21 contested possessions and 7 clearances in Rd1. I realise those stats don't mean anything in this format, but when 50% of your possessions are contested it's not all 'cheap outside ball'. He had similar contested numbers in JLT. He is much more inside/outside than he used to be. He's gets to a lot of contests now as a 2 way runner, similar to Cogs. I don't buy into the whole 'he won't be as good when Gaff comes back' theory that doesn't take into account natural progression and improvement in Sheeds game. I'll be getting him in this week or the next because I believe that he will take the next step this year as a fantasy mid premium. I'm not fussed if others don't share my enthusiasm about him.
