If you take someone out of the contest you have to compete for the mark. Not my favourite rule. But it’s been consistently paid this round and this year as a whole.

That's what happens when Newcombe gets a hard tag. Midfield getting belted. Very flattered by the scoreboard.

On the positive side, Ward and Morris both really finding themselves at the level now. And learning to deal with a hard tag is important for Newcombe as he's now our best midfielder.
