The Eagles have very few weapons in the middle, and because of that tagging is exceptionally effective against them as nobody else steps up there to cause damage.

By going head-to-head in the midfield Fremantle are openly providing opportunities for West Coast midfielders and allowing the Eagles to be effective in the territory battle, which brings their forward half pressure gameplan into play.
