Spots 7 and 8 are still up for grabs 2 weeks out. Thats a pretty good year if you ask me. Today we have a chance to hurt melbournes finals ambitions albeit with out completely destroying them. Hope the lads are as pumped as Zorks and Fages have said they are.

Disappointed I can't make it to this one but the young fella is playing in his first footy carnival instead. Should be home in time to watch most of it on the app though so looking forward to seeing how this one unfolds.

Hopefully with the cold weather most of the Dees fans have gone skiing and the Lions faithful will cheer our boys to a victory.

I'm ambivalent about this comment as I want the number one draft pick and more importantly, want to see continual improvement in the Lions. If North win by ten goals today and Carlton win next week, I think we can still win the last two games and get the number one pick.

-Garlett to kick 3
-Beams 30 possessions
-Melbourne by 28 points
-Lions to get 2 minutes,38 seconds of pregame coverage with the only players mentioned being Harris Andrews and the only 3 midfielders Melbourne media know in our side in Rockliff,Beams and Zorko.

Absolutely cracking day in Melbourne. On the train in for some pre froths and then into the MCC with a couple of Melbourne supporter mates. I'm pretty bouyed about causing an upset today. Hopefully with recent form a few more lions supporters make it today! Go lions.

Doesn't really matter where we finish with the evenness of this year's draft. Can't see Carlton beating Sydney at the SCG or Gold Coast beating Port Adelaide at Adelaide oval next week. Neither side will want to mess with form with a week's break going into the finals. That means if we win both games we should finish 15th (pick 4). Even if North win today, possible but not by 10 goals, we will still finish above them if we win both games. The hard part of the puzzle is today, but I'd love us to do it. Go Lions!
