In truth no one really deserves to win this absolutely horrible spectacle

Seems like the pressure of the game has gotten to both sides and neither can put together anything resembling what they've been doing.

Yep. Sometimes you see finals like this where the pressure is just overwhelming but neither team can handle it. Like against Geelong in 2018 we were lucky Geelong shit themselves because we had a great start then a terrible middle two quarters.

Incorrect.

Jobe Watson said it has been a high quality game.

Until the last couple of minutes only one of Gawn or Grundy was on the ground. Think the experiment is over.

It appears Smith has gone forward and Grundy rotating off the bench

This has been finals level pressure from both sides and both sides are making mistakes. I have no idea who will win this but from the third quarter Melbourne really started to get on top.

Hard to rate the forward line setup because it simply hasn't gone down there much. Ugly game and mostly being lost in the midfield at the moment.

Oliver's inclusion has seemingly been a net decrease in performance.
Clearly looking worse at holding it in there with a lumbering ruck though. Petty can get up the ground and back and lay tackles. When Carlton have a spare we are essentially 2 men down when the ball hits the ground

Both Carlton and Melbourne 2 of the most explosive scoring teams in the AFL. But this game looks like St Kilda v Sydney.

Yep. Jordon off and Hibbo on relatively early too. Ruthless Goody is still there.

Agree, method has been absolute rubbish. This tells us absolutely nothing.
