Dempster absolutely destroying Harvey and they sub him off :(

BTW apparently the sook Harvey has lodged a complaint about the tagging tonight.. Must be sick of not being able to get a kick against us

We are playing finals for 7th time in 8 years... Not a bad record is it...

Saints back to brutal best. Very enjoyable game to watch.
Thought our skills were pretty good. Carlton next week after a bye ?
We should back ourselves and believe we can win that.
Then who knows.. Hold on for the ride boys .

You bloody beauty St. Kilda!

Every chance to finish 6th next week now, if we beat Carlton, we finish 6th. So it is in our own hands!

Nick Riewoldt is a ****ing tough human being, a warrior and a leader.

Brendon Goddard was amazing. Turned the game.

Dal Santo worked through the tight tag for 25 touches.

Montagna was great.

Koschitkze fantastic.

Harvey was an embarrassment. Spent more time complaining to the umpires than trying to get a kick.

I'm just really impressed - after last weeks terrible performance, it is just fantastic to come out and perform like this.

Barring the golden era, this is amazing time to be a saints fan.

gotta check this but apparently its the first time in our history we have made finals 4 years in a row. (might be under the same coach)

I'M BACK!

Great to see we still own filth dog Harvey. What a bitch, putting in a complaint. Off to his mum's house for a pat on the head for him.

I guess we now know what our form is. 10 goals better than the Roos (at least we can measure the direction of the two clibs now hey Brad Scott?), more scoring shots than the reigning premeirs and lost to the team that just knicked over the best sidwe in recent history after we had our spine taken out by gastro.

Next week will tell us nothing.

For the Roos, it feels shit when the media whip up a frenzy to celebrate a **** doesn't it?

and yet again the Mighty Saints cannot be beaten at Etihad on a Saturday Night... Thats 25 by my calculations (might be 1 off thoug)

Rubbish.

Reiwoldt took 2 contested marks out of 13 marks last time.

He is pretty much a leading forward these days.

Kosi is far more likely to attract the second man up.

I think it's because his tank is low, due to the weekday management precautions related to his buggered leg.

Yeah, I think you better get to a recent game of footy.

EDIT: Hey, what happened? Who carded sauce head?

JUST telling Pies supporters they were like swarming ants, mod did not like it.

To be fair, you did not double team Roo much tonight as we moved the ball quickly. Wait for his detractors say he did nothing 3rd quarter...

But we did not DT Petrie much either, although more that you did Roo.

And I see all saints matches. The best teams double Roo always. I suggest you watch us v top teams again.

Good to see ya back saucey
Riewoldt to destroy Carlton and I predict Gilbert to go to Judd again and towel
him up

Great win tonight. After that first half of the second qtr we were awesome. Milney early in the 3rd qtr was tops and how good was the $7.50 pie and coke special etihad did tonight!!!!!! Great night all over bring on the Bluebaggers

Well done guys. As good as you guys have been, we have also been very very very shit. Don't hang your hats on this, we have played like a bottom 2 side since 20th minute of 2nd quarter, even though you guys have played a part in that...

Big stage...failed again...another pre-season of complaining about the fixture but we don't deserve big games. You guys do. Good luck for the rest of the season.

But but... all the "Experts " on TV said that the Roo's were on a roll and would win tonight. You had everything to play for.

Great effort by the boys tonight. Was worried the first half of the second quarter, but with a bit of help from the umpires and North we turned it around. Particularly loved that we did not take the foot off the accelerator, we crushed them.

Liked Steven's game, Polo took some gutsy marks. Why God(dard) was left free so often is a mystery, he torched them. Good night for our four main forwards, Riewoldt, Kosi, Milne and Schneiderman. Big Ben didn't outtap Goldstein, but beat him around the ground (love those grabs).

Very glad we won, I was seated in front of a truly feral Norf fan. This guy was disgusting. Not sure what was the most irksome aspect, he was a sore loser, an idiot and an armchair umpire with minimal understanding of the rules. Fortunately he sooked off a couple of minutes into the final turn.

What tonight demonstrated was that this group will not go quietly into the night.

Severely under the pump after the Roos had kicked five, and Dal Santo and Goddard dragged us, kicking and screaming, into the contest. Then Riewoldt, Kosi, Steven and some others got interested.

Dean Polo - I'd be happy to be in the trenches with that bloke.

Schneider had not many touches, but it was quality not quantity.

Every time Brent Harvey plays against us, he loses friends.

Ziebell incident reminds me of Bickley on Darryl Wakelin. Awful, but out of character.

Greenwood in less trouble than Dale Thomas.

The footy the Saints played through the middle of the match is the brand that worries the better teams. We're still the team of Round 9-23. Last week an aberration.

Now to the MCG - haven't won there this season. Big test.

BTW apparently the sook Harvey has lodged a complaint about the tagging tonight.. Must be sick of not being able to get a kick against us

Honestly don't see what he has to complain about unless there were cheap shots at the contest because he only tried to go with Armo about twice whilst he was setting up on the wing so it's not like he actually tried to break it. Senility must be setting in early. I mean Wells had Jones on him so he dragged him back and had an influence simply because he's a class player in a dangerous pos, Boomer just threw tantrums.

And Ziebell, wow, utter dog, even the North fop in my area cringed (and then called for 50, like he was doing all night for everything) sheer stupid act, hang your head in dire amounts of shame.

So last time I rambled now I'm going to try and keep it brief;

Train ride up: Mother saints supporter, father bombers supporter, kid = saints supporter. COP THAT DAD! "Uncle" also Saints supporter, outnumbered!

@ the game, kids behind wouldn't stop kicking the seats, guys in suits in GA? WTF? speed limit = 50!

Train ride home: good times before the smelly wino sat next to me and whipped out his array of super breathmint powers, I felt like I was in a eucalyptus sauna!

Otherwise, wasn't entirely worried during the 2nd quarter, you saw a workrate lift from North coupled with a drop off from us when in actuality they also had the run in the first but failed to capitalise as out back 6 still had some support to fall back on, late in you saw some North boys just run out of puff or "lull" and we just pounced and quit failing horribly, their momentum shattered. AFL footy these days is just a quarter of ebbs and flows, effectively that 2nd quarter was 70% North who just lacked avenues to really capitalise and 30% us where we swarmed, you can see this by the spread of goal kickers and assists in that it's quite "narrow" with North.

Kosi, played well in a half, Milne was awesome as was Schneider, BJ, Joey & Dal were doing a lot of "fluffing" of stats earlier on but really came into it in the 2nd half, Rooey I thought would be in for a tough night with his first kick fading horribly, but got his tail up and never looked back, Gilbo had a good game as well, and loved Steven's game.:thumbsu:

Well done.

Too experienced, too composed, too good.

Best of luck in Sept, Oct.

ha ha ha! did he offer you one?

haha nah, he seemed to alternate between playing some manner of game and rewarding his efforts with a flavour burst there was music followed by crunching preceding pungency. Took him 25 odd seconds to organise his things to let me out at my stop he had that much crap on him.

Bendigo is a classy place at night.:thumbsu::D

Oh and kid son the train ride home also ducked under my arm just to get at the button, despite the train still being in motion and he promptly faceplanted the door. Because I was bracing and he was running. I giggled. I'm cruel. :D
