I get so annoyed at their failings, and have done for the past 11 yrs, and not just the players, that because I have a high blood pressure problem, I take the easy way out and don't watch any of our games anymore......watch the highlights if we have a good win, but they're few and far between.
I know I know........but I'll still re-new my membership every year that I'm still able to.
Watched a great game tonight Melb v Carl, thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't care 2 hoots who got over the line, (but glad Carlton didn't).....but I can't do that with a Suns game.......so I'm better off not watching.... and the TV stays intact;)
Haha unless I’m at Metricon I don’t bother too often to watch games live on TV anymore to put myself through 3 hours of frustration either when I have more useful ways to spend what’s left of my time on Earth. Just wait until the game is over and check the scores immediately. Less painful!
Being live at the ground somehow makes it more bearable. Maybe the collective groans from the crowd every time we turn the ball over acts like a soothing balm to my frustrations.

What's our post bye record compared to the other bottom dwellers? Have to be down near the bottom surely. A loss to NM will damage a lot of the confidence the players may have left....so much more than a danger game at stake here.
Yeah a loss to the wooden spooners in the last Round following a pasting from the minor premiers would not be what the club needs going into 2023. Would take a lot of gloss off what has been an improved year. Looks like the 10 wins many said would need to be a pass mark is spot on.
North will be keen and hungry for the win at home. Going to be tough.

I stopped watching Essendon vs Port game (Essendon lost by 84). Players just walking there. Similarly Hawks were insipid against Tigers (lost by 61). Talk about meaningless games for some teams at the end of season.

It will be the same crap next week for us.
And we lost to both those teams 🥲

Each game is different. Essendon played great footy against us. Not sure what happened to them last 2 games. After today game Essendon fans want to fire coach again :grinv1:

Similarly, today Hawks did absolutely nothing. Compared to them we looked great yesterday :p

2 teams that handed us our arse in recent weeks when we were open to a serious run at our first ever finals

Won 3 games since the mid year bye…

We are seriously stumbling across the line.

Hard to see any big names putting up there hand saying we want to go there.
I would go so far as to say we extremely fortunate to stumble over the line against WC and Richmond shat the bed. Could easily be one win ( disastrous)

But in fairness we probably should of beaten Collingwood and Port which would make it 5 wins. ( good)

Basically we have improved this year but are way off the mark of the better teams and behind where ( I think) we should be. Our foot skills are terrible and we have zero mongrel

The re-signing of Dew is still an unknown, personally I would of gone all in at Clarkson. If we are like this again next season expect a walk out of players and members.

This game against North is a hiding to nothing, win and everyone will say so we should, lose and any forward steps this year are wiped away and we go into the off season as the laughing stock the ☀️ have always been seen as.

Would you say Port, Hawks and Pies where extremely lucky to stumble across the line against us?

One thing with Rowell I've noticed is he just seems way too concerned with his man at the stoppage.

I didn't get to watch the second half so watching the replay now (I know..)

We had 3-4 stoppages in our forward pocket in the first 30 seconds. Rowell was playing on Selwood and was initiating body contact and almost holding onto Selwood.

The ball is 15m from our goal! Surely he should be trying to evade and get space away from his opponent.

Just think he's not being positive enough around stoppage.

Well my partner and I will be there.
Tix bought, time off booked.

Hopefully see some of you behind the goal.

I'll be the guy with a James Worpel mask on...

The last time we won the final game of the year was back in 2013, since then our average losing margin has been 70 points.

Anything under a 69 point loss is a win then I guess :drunk:

I have no idea why we are 'hot faves'
North $3.30 last night.
Seems way over to me.

Any thoughts on ins / outs guys?

McPherson out for Holman (if fit) - Moyle to take 2nd ruck duties with Witts and rest up forward - Constable in for Davies just to see what he can do - if Rankine doesn't come up, Fiorini, Sexton or Bowes to get one last chance in 2022. I can't see how we can remove Caleb but would dearly love to - who's the forward for NM who'll run rampant on him? That's about as good as we can get it given all the defensive injuries. ...and Tsitas for Flanders - he can't be any worse. This gives almost all the 'maybe' players a go against the bottom side. Corbett and Burgess probably seen their last chance earlier in the year but who knows with Dew's selection process!

Constable has been taking kick outs playing backline. May aswell just leave Davies in and let him play some game time over 50% just let him gas up.

Bowes has played mid/forward so he could be a chance.

I got in Oskar Faulkheads ear last week to ask Dewie for a game, would love to see it happen.

Just need some speed out there, even if we play 3 quarters and burn out in the 4th better than what we have dished up recently

Holman is out for the game/year (back injury).

100% for some speed. Some run and carry would really help. Weirdly North are quite competitive with us in most key stats. I reckon their midfield might give us a run.

We’re also similar in terms of games played/age profile, so really it’s just whether we have the class (not sure) and fitness (probably) to roll over them.

Our backline is terrible right now, no Izak, no Holman, Levi looks to be absolutely cooked, our team selection is all over the place and North aren’t playing like total shit. I can’t believe we’re such short odds to win this.
It would be crushing not to finish the year with our best ever record considering the draw we had after the Richmond game.

What I want to see this weekend:
Obviously a win
Elijah and Mac to show why they should be there in round 1 next season.
Bring Bowes in to just play midfield.
Luko kick a couple set shots
And none of this start playing at half time shit we’ve done for the whole second half of the season

Wouldn't mind Thompson playing then retiring after the game. Agree with bowes in midfield, maybe rotate midfield through forwards with our shortage of forwards. Would be happy for Moyle to get a run also.
