Ross Lyon games can get in the bin.

You cannot award him coach of the year, we play with numbers pushed back but at least have the game to transition.
Lowest scoring team outside the bottom 3 teams and just so boring to watch.

He’s done a great job to fix their defence and they set up so well but god awful to watch them

Good result IMO. Played a system team that deployed a loose in defence from the very beginning. They were clearly trying to limit our scoring by sacrificing theirs.

They nearly got lucky from our terrible inaccuracy but we still found a way.

Ross Lyon’s cynical gameplan is awful. Good sign that we created plenty of shots regardless.

We got a better finals tune up than Collingwood.

Won by 12 scoring shots and should have beaten the 6th place team by around 5 goals.
The Saints are the number one team in defense, so it was always going to be hard scoring.
Things just did not fall our way and as such play looked a little sloppy at times.
Also, nice to see we played well in the last quarter for 2 weeks in a row. Just lacked the accuracy like in the 1st quarter.
No apparent injuries are a big plus for the game.

Nice to now sit back and see who gets to travel to the Gabba.
At the beginning of the year i was hoping for top 4 so 2nd is just great.

Kiddy's overall game was good but what was going on with the couple of kicks he put down the throat of a Saints player, he couldn't have picked them out any better.

He seems to get tired late in the games and his disposal drops off. Nonetheless he is getting a bit better at running it out. He was still able to make contests and spoil in the last quarter and with another year under his belt he'll get fitter and better . He's still only played 60 or so games and had a few injury interruptions.

Incredibly scrappy win. Like most rusted on supporters was frustrated for a high proportion of that game, but if we kicked straight would of been a relatively comfortable 6-7 goal difference win.

Can’t afford to be bringing that to week 1 of the finals, confident we don’t.

Hope our Brisbane fans at the game bring a lot more voice than what sounded like on the television tonight in a couple of weeks 🙏

Onwards and upwards 🦁

The only change required next week is Lohmann out McCarthy in - sub to be Fletcher or Lyons.
No no, Lyons out from the 22, McCarthy in
Happy for Lyons to be sub but he is no longer best 22, he was struggling big time getting around the ground.

Ryan Lester did some outstanding work with and without the ball. His disposal efficiency is usually right up near the top every game and he does something useful with almost every possession. It always seems like he understands the state of the game in the moment. He is such a critical part of our system now.

Has anyone seen 3KZ and AFLQLD in the same room together?

Time and again he’s also very very lazy in defence and gets caught is no man’s land.

Is poor week after week defensively

What? He was very good defensively tonight. Probably the best he's been.

The player most worrying in defence atm, continues to be Payne. If we are any chance of winning the thing, we have to have him back to his first half of the season form.

Thought he was a little better tonight, although I’m not sure he was up against much either and there was still a couple of moments where I thought he could attack the ball a bit more.

So we just ignore that he lacks effort throughout the game and today would have been 3-4 times where he got caught between trying to make the contest or stay on his man and impacted nothing.

Happens every week but he gets a free pass

I’d prefer a tight, scrappy 2 goal win against a defensive side to a 100 point win against witches hats going into the finals.
It wasn’t a great watch but second in the H&A is awesome.
The backline look shaky when they think too much about disposal. We need more run from behind.

First half was very average, but did a lot better in the second I thought.

Thought his first half last week was very poor defensively but improved in the second half. Tonight was great though. I think we'll have to agree to disagree.
