Nissan injury report says Newk and Ryan are expected to play this week whilst Lewis is a wait and see test to play

More importantly who’s the Fremantle player who loses sleep because they have to have Finn nullifying them!
Both of them get to lose sleep. Just like Schrodinger's Cat the outcome is unknown until it is measured.

Based on the injury report, Jai and Ryan are likely to come in. For Long and Ramma?

Would be good for HH to get another game and Serong to get a full game.

Stephens had a strong game at BH and would be nice for him to get a taste to finish the season but perhaps unlikely if Jai is available and HH’s strong first up showing?

But why would you bother tagging just for the sake of it? Better to bring in a playmaker.
Bringing in a player on the fringes will generally do less than tagging one of the opponents best players.

Unless there is such a big gap between the teams that it doesn’t matter who is picked.

Just playing devil's advocate; if there isn't an opposition player for Finn to tag, do you still pick him in the side?
Even if there is no one for Finn to place a hard tag, I would keep him in the side and let him be more offensive to continue his development. I think his disposal/composure/decision making are improving and he is part of our future.

Sticks was doing a fitness session today with the VFL boys before the senior team took the park and did some light work and a game of soccer.

Good discussion.
Seamus may be an option as I don’t think we are getting enough run of half back, but he has not really shown that since earlier in the year.
I’d stick with Finn, cannot prove correlation, but we don’t seem to be burnt on transition as often when he is playing.

Lewis is arguably our most important player along with Sicily. There’s no point in risking him in a dead rubber game when the season is almost over.

I would put Newcombe there too. And maybe even Finn as well. Can't replace them. Maybe Breust still... Well, just for this game.

Box hill have the week off before finals, do we give a few a run or rest them? Would Stephens, Meek and Butler be better off with a run in seniors? We can prob rest Bruest for Butler, Reeves for Meek and Nash for Stephens?
