Be careful not to bring up umps might upset a couple round here.

We really have some precious tools on this board who literally refuse to understand how bad umpiring can dictate the course of a game, and in many cases the umpiring ultimately decides the outcome.

So far the Hawks are too bad for the umpires to actually decide this one, but the standard of umpiring is, as expected, woefully inconsistent at best.
