I really need a win tomorrow night. My Cat died last week, he was struck by a car and my mum was recently diagnosed with Cancer. Tomorrow night being at the Gabba will be an opportunity to forget the problems in my personal life. Just desperately need something to feel good about and celebrate, this year so far has been the worst.Just going to replay that first quarter against Carlton over and over again this year. Don’t even remember what it’s like to feel joy anymore
Sorry to hear about that tragic news friend, our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your loved ones in this time of need and really hope our Lions can win tomorrow to help you feel better about everything in life.I really need a win tomorrow night. if there is one department in the club who i think have the credits in the bank to be trusted in knowing what they are doing, its our medical team.
Thank you, I really appreciate that.Sorry to hear about that tragic news friend, our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your loved ones in this time of need and really hope our Lions can win tomorrow to help you feel better about everything in life.
If you need to chat or vent with someone about those tragedies also, please don’t hesitate DMing me on here if you need that emotional support (that goes for everyone btw)
It counts in regard to games played by playersWe did win that pre-season match against Sydney.
Does that count, please tell me it does
Doedee’s injury sucks, but we do have enough key backs to cover, namely Andrews, Payne, Gardiner and Lester. No need to move Hipwood back.I think it’s time to move Hipwood back (like gws did with Himmelberg). Covers a height and kicking need in one
Debut Logan Morris and get 50 games into him asap
Wonder if we will pick up a KPD in the mid-season draft now as well.Doedee’s injury sucks, but we do have enough key backs to cover, namely Andrews, Payne, Gardiner and Lester. No need to move Hipwood back.
We still have Joyce as a break glass optionWonder if we will pick up a KPD in the mid-season draft now as well.
Hindsight is great and all, but damn I wish we'd have been able to get Harry Arnold.
Forgot about him, although I wouldn’t want another injury to any of our KPD players though. We still have Joyce as a break glass option
Personally I’d be tasking the recruitment team with going after the best kick we can find and plugging them straight in at HB. Kiddy’s kicking and subsequent gamebreaking ability is what we miss most imo.Wonder if we will pick up a KPD in the mid-season draft now as well.

Would be very ironic if we chose Casey Voss (same position as Kiddy) after all those years of rejecting him.Personally I’d be tasking the recruitment team with going after the best kick we can find and plugging them straight in at HB. Call me crazy but hear me out. With all the injuries down back, could we consider sending Cam back down there again but instead of playing the third tall/interceptor role, play as a genuine small defender / Kiddy distributor role?
I feel like he wasn’t utilised in this way when he went back last time, and as such may not have played to his strengths as much. He doesn’t have a bad kick Cam and perhaps with that responsibility, and without the fitness required to play midfield, he may flourish.
I agree we didnt really use him this way last year but Im still not convinced by Cam's kicking. I feel he looks for length (and height weirdly) more than accuracy. That could be just trying to get it under pressure into our forward line as a chaos option. But I dont really think I've seen him pick out the accurate kicks through danger in the middle you need out of the back lineCall me crazy but hear me out. I do like that side, though would definitely have Ah Chee still starting over Reville. Sub I would then have Prior (think he is the best option in flexibility of roles). This side is still good enough to win a lot of games.
Starting tomorrow night i hope
