For comfort/critical analysis/pre-Derby calming I've just re-watched Q1 of our last Derby.

Standouts: the big bodies of Darcy, Mundy & Tabs. The Dave & Caleb show at centre clearances. Tabs show in front of goal. Cerra the silky link. Young with dash out of defence. Our quick ball use disturbing WC.

Handy moments from Sammy, Aish, Shooter, Mitch, Treacy, Trav. Little sparks from Walker, Henry. Blakely useful bulk & Banners nothing blameworthy. Haven't sighted Tucker.

No Fyfe, Cox, Lobb, Freddy, ?Acres.

So speed, size, silk, centre dominance - and goal accuracy. Tomorrow??????

Only just tipped crows in rd 1..wrong by a point.

Tipped Saints last week with the correct margin.

Too many overrate us on here and underrate Eagles as an organisation. Lobb and Brayshaw are the only two that can hold their heads high after 2 games.

Our apparent star backline has been shaky to say the least and as i said post rd1....way too top heavy and lumbering down there.

On top of that are the glamour footballers of Freddy, Henry, Clark, Tucker and more who don't want to get in and under or run the other way.
I don't understand cox coming in. Makes us too slow

Logue & Hamling dropped! Behind worst australian paywall
Fremantle have made a couple of massive selection calls on the eve of Sunday’s western derby, dropping key-defensive duo Joel Hamling and Griffin Logue to the reserves.

Hamling and Logue paid the price for the Dockers’ disappointing loss to St Kilda at Optus Stadium last Sunday and will line up for the club’s WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder on Saturday afternoon.

The Thunder take on East Perth in a WAFL scratch match at Leederville Oval with six 25-minute quarters in a combined league/reserves hit-out due to lack of numbers.

Rookie Karl Worner, goalsneak Joel Western, silky-skilled winger Liam Henry, midfielder Mitch Crowden, rebounding defender Nathan Wilson, on-baller Connor Blakely, top-10 draft pick Jye Amiss and hulking forward Josh Treacy are the other Dockers playing.

Wilson is making his return from a shoulder injury sustained in the pre-season derby at Optus Stadium last month, while Treacy was remarkably back on the park after an ankle issue during last week’s WAFL clash against Perth.

Half-back Brandon Walker is a chance for his first AFL appearance of the season after he wasn’t picked in the WAFL.

Both West Coast’s and Fremantle’s teams will be revealed on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm, 48 hours later than usual as both clubs deal with COVID and injury issues.

Why are we playing Treacy at Peel. Other clubs have demonstrated that if you persist with young KPFs at the top level it will pay off in the long term. Wtf is he going to learn in the WAFL?

Ummm, so Pearce and Cox will be the sum of our tall defensive stocks? Righto.

This Is Fine GIF

There’s something suss about this. Can’t have a bloke on the stilts all week then expect to roll him out Sunday.
Bet he’s gonna miss multiple weeks and the clubs kept it hushed.
Not at all, best way to recover the body is to take pressure off that body part. That's why they use the anti gravity treadmills. There are examples of blokes spending their week in a moon boot and playing. Another example is a singer not talking during the week to save their voice. When you're a pro you do what you have to do.

Walker's play making is a thrill to behold, so I do hope he is selected! He's developed some size too, so he's not a push-over in a tackle.

Ok with Logue and hamling out. Logue had a stinker last week. Plus a chance being wet - too tall

Darling - Cox
JK - Pearce
Dixon - Ryan
