I wouldn't be taking them lightly, they have the on-ball brigade to cause us problems. Early prediction Swans to absorb the early pressure and win by 6 goals after a tight first half.

Agree

Particularly with the auskick umpiring they get

It will be titanic in the midfield, where both teams are strong, and GWS will have to break even at very least. Otherwise they are in for a reality check.

Drop Towers you're kidding. Two goals and three assists against the Power.

It might be McGlynn for Parker, who didn't look right yesterday.

McGlynn for Parker, are you kidding me.
Parker racked up 30 disposals against port, and against the dons he had 35 before being K.O'd.
Plus, he was Sydney's B&F last year. Parker definitely is not going.

Yes, Towers has improved over the pre-season and is in good form, but we have to compare that to Benny.
Benny is a much more versatile player compared to Towers (e.g. can play in mids).
Also, Benny has just as much if not more goal scoring ability than Towers.

We can all agree it will be a tough decision for Horse to make. But personally, I would be dropping Towers.

Agreed. Everyone played their part last night so a hard call will have to be made but it aint goint to be Parks that gets dropped. It would have to be out of Towers, Goodes, Shaw and Rohan. Personally id drop Towers. Tough call but thats a good problem to have.

I'm not one to mess with a winning team. No change.

Underestimate GWS at your peril, they are a side on the rise and it will be a worthy test of us.

Selection next week should be simple, same 22, maybe even same sub. McGlynn was still on managed game time in the ressies yesterday, will play a full game in the NEAFL next week before being considered for a senior recall.

Towers has been very good this year. now looking like a senior player and doing valuable things. He is not a candidate to be dropped. Heeney I expect will be managed this year so will be rested some weeks and not dropped back to the NEAFL. Shaw will not be dropped, he is a vital part of the back six and is a key organiser on field.

Just wondering how many GWS supporters go to SCG games?

I was just thinking of his health, that was a heavy KO the week before, and his decision making didn't look quite as sharp.

I agree with GWS being a force in the competition. Horse said after the 3rd NAB challenge game that GWS are a chance to make the finals if they continue this form. The two Sydney teams are 2-0 at this point. if Sydney play the way they did against Port, especially on SCG (smaller ground), swans should win. But I'm definitely not writing off GWS!!

I do lol a bit at the 'underestimate teams at your own peril', 'don't write them off' jazz that gets posted all over bigfooty. Same concept prior to the 2014 grand final where both sets of supporters talked tough. Do people realise the team don't play based on how much (or how little) crap their supporters talk week-in-week out?

There's only one team in the competition that scares me, and if that's cocky then so be it, the team don't play based off my feelings. I don't rate GWS and I'll wear the egg on my face if they win, but that doesn't change how I feel about the two sides. We've been very lucky as Swans supporters.
