Round 3 trades

Hey Guys, input appreciated

DEF: Shaw, Laird, Houli, Harwood, Adams, Dea (Cameron, Cowan)
MID: Ablett, Hanners, Adams, Rocky, Libba, S.Gray, R.Davis, Hewett (Menadue, Macaffer)
RUC: Martin, Z.Smith (Cox, Currie)
FWD: A.Hall, Dusty, Barlow, Kerridge, Wells, B.Kennedy (M.McGov, McCarthy)
-----remaining salary $41k

I want to offload Rocky +Harwood/macaffer (both will still meet breakevens). also considering Barlow, but thinking of giving him one more chance, perhaps trade next week

My Thoughts are:

1) Rocky + Macaffer -> Zaha (will make more $ than Hunter) + Papley (move Wells to mid)+ $124k
2) Rocky = Harwood -> Zaha + Hartley/Byrne +$155k

my reasoning is Zaha will make more than Hunter, will eventually make more and upgrade to a T.Mitchell

will Papley make more $ than Hartley? Hartley has only played 1 game so not much to go off

thought appreciated

Do you guys think there is a whole lot of difference between Zorko and Merrett? Zorko can score big, especially with the guys they have out. However he also has a tendency to drop a 40 every now and then. The extra 30k means I can go Rocky to Titch instead of Rocky to Parker/Gray/Wines

I reckon Zorko will be more of a POD. A lot of people are jumping on Merrett.

is it worth trading harwood even if i need to dispose both Rocky and Macaffer?

I think I might keep Harwood 1 week. Ruggles is debuting this week, and Hartley will still be a slight downgrade next week.

I reckon rocky and caff would be more important, especially if caff was on the field

Tough decision here.
I can either bring in say a bryne or ruggles (not sure on js) for harwood and then I can bring in one of the mitchells, or I can bring in Hartley (good JS) and then trade rockliff to say a gray, parker etc.
What option should I do?

I need to give myself some money to play with, there's two players I'm really after this week Merrett and Titchell but I sadly I just cannot afford both. I'm desperate for points, I copped the donut for round 1 and only scored 1771 last week. I need to bring in the big gun and trade in Tom Mitchell, I had him for a major chunk of the pre-season but traded him out. Time to fix the mistake and put him in my side and trade out Tom Rockliff -> Tom Mitchell

To bring in Mitchell I need to free up money from somewhere and by this stage the top performing mid pricers have had two big price jumps and are just about premiums. Because we're only in Round 3 I still don't want to jump off players after two games but I someone needs to go and Selwood has been to poor to keep into my side and I need to free up some cash so I'm downgrading Joel Selwood -> Tom Papley. Will give me 262k to play with next week.

I think Mitchell is a safer bet and far more proven than Merrett, Papley should be able to gain me the same amount of coin that Merrett will so if he tears it up again next week and makes it three big games in a row I'll defiantly bring him in with the money I've now got sitting in the kitty.

Help desperately needed please guys!!

Trying to get a league win (2-0 so far). Have 4 premium mids and 6 rookies, so wanted to trade Ah Chee for Parish (I know he's pricey but such a low BE). Instead thinking of trading out Macaffer to parish? First option leaves me with $140k in bank, second just 25k?

Am I crazy upgrading a rookie by 100k?

Just had a look at your team. Selwood is bleeding, but is there anyway you can trade Oliver? Selwood could surprise and Oliver looks like a 60 average player

You could trade Selwood next week in a downgrade/upgrade

Not really. Caf won't make you anymore money, Parish is a stepping stone. Have him for a couple of weeks and upgrade

Not a terrible call mate to trade out Oliver, I without a doubt want to keep Selwood I think the Brisbane game is a wonderfull opportunity for him to score really well especially playing a midfield with out Rocky and Beams, the game is also and Simmons and he's traditionally scored well against the Lions. I'd flip if i traded him and he scores well.

Alright, as you know I wanted to get Parish and JJ in for Rocky and Howe.
That will only leave me with about 35k next week, and when i probably downgrade maybe Harwood, very small chance I'll be able to afford someone like Zaharakis/Hunter next week for Crouch/Graham.
Unless, I go for B. Kennedy instead of Parish and I will have 85k next week which means I will most likely be able to get at least Zaha or Hunter for Crouch/Graham.

Essentially its......

JJ, Crouch, Parish, +35k
vs
JJ, Zaha/Hunter, Kennedy

Edit: Second option seems a lot better, because I didn't note that I'd probably have some extra cash if I did the first option. As I said, might be able to downgrade Harwood to Byrne etc, depending how they go, and afford Zaha/Hunt as well as keeping Parish but not sure how it will play out. Extra trade might be needed for an injury as well.

It's about bang for your buck in the bank, but on field as well. Oliver was the player that stood out to me as ticking neither box.

I think I am about to do a massive trade change. Premo downgrades:

Gawn > Tippett (downgrade for cash, Gawn will loose money as well)

Barlow > J. Martin (100 Ave, low be and versing Carlton)

Leaves me 142k for next week. And a team that will gain more money.

Next week Harwood to Byrne/Hartley/Ruggles and 200k to upgrade

Dont usually ask for advice but will see what people think

Johanissen, Rich, Lonergan, Howe, Adams, Dea (C.Cameron, Harwood)

T.Mitchell, Ablett, Dangerfield, Adams, Duncan, L.Hunter, M.Crouch, C.Mills (Hewett, Davis)

S.Martin, Gawn (Frost and Currie)

Barlow, A.Hall, S.Gray, Kerridge, Wells, Menadue (McCarthy, Tipawungti)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BOLDED players are the ones in the gun.

Anyone have some trade advice. Only have about 7k in the kitty before trades.

Im mainly looking at going

Barlow > B.Kennedy
Howe > Houli (Highest premium i can afford)

My only concern is i dont see these 2 guys going that well this round.

Ruggles, Byrne, Byrne-Jones and Hartley are available down back as cheaper options.

Think id prefer Ruggles the most but unsure on JS.

Hartley only went up 22k after a 74 score.

Oliver -> Papley gives me just enough money (2k left in the bank) to be able to go Rockliff -> Mitchell

I'm not overly keen on getting rid of Oliver but to keep Selwood in someone else has to make way. It's a good suggestion mate, thank you.

Time to step up and repay me for the faith now Joel!!!

Hey guys need a bit of help:

I have 121k in the bank and was thinking of going:

Rocky to hunter

Leaving me with 186k,

Who is a midfielder who you guys reckon will finish top 8 worth under 610k right now?

Thanks!
