It is a concern that the coach doesnt rate the value of Close and his ability to contest the ball strongly in the air. To have the two bean pole kids up there as the keys is not helping either of them.

Wouldn't call schache a bean pole he is 100kgs... He is weak in the contest though so it may give the illusion he is small.

A few others have said this already, and I had a minor meltdown two weeks ago when it happened, but dropping Close for Schache has not worked (yet).

And giving games to our first years instead of the likes of Bastinac and Harwood seems mildly suicidal (if that's a thing) in the short term.

It's already looking like the new regime is putting the rebuild ahead of immediate success. And I really hope it works this time, 'cause we were here 2 years ago...
