Blah - just got back from the comm games and turned on the tv.
Less than 100 point loss! Stoked.
2 goals is a bit sh@t but we know we are crap in wet weather, and young teams cannot sustain he intensity of the last 2 weeks. I refuse to join the world is ending brigade so go lions.

My bad it was obviously unrealistic to think we may kick more than one goal in 3 quarters. People with attitudes like your yours are part of the problem, willing to accept this s*+t and just shrug your shoulders. At some stage disgusting efforts cannot be accepted.

Part of the problem? What reality do you think you are in? That if we all spit the dummy it will make them a 5 goal better team? Swanny is going to go down to the team and say you are not going to get paid because some clown on the internet reckons you don't try, or care?

End of correspondence.

4 weeks of travel will take it out on the young lads. Etihad - Gabba - Adelaide Oval - MCG

If you count home games as travel we basically travel every week. Apart from the rare occasions we play 2 home games in a row.

We just don't have the players right now. Zorko, Beams and Martin will win us the odd game, but when they don't we can't expect Berry, McCluggage, Witherden etc to perform every week. Wanting to get games into the likes of Bailey is admirable, but i don't see what throwing them to the wolves while our already sizeable contingent of 1st/2nd/3rd year players are having a hard time establishing themselves.

Realistically (this is the afl industry after all) we've probably got another season or two to get somewhere under the current regime and more youth can't be the answer.

110-17 is such an unusual scoreline. Sure we were crap, but you'd think with the wooden spooners scoring a score as low as that against the reigning premiers they should've won by 200 or near that. No way they go back to back

Yet people blame our defenders.

Those people don’t really understand the game.

The real culprits are the midfield and forward butchers that can’t hit a target to save themselves.

The defenders actually did pretty well considering the avalanche of turnover ball that was coming in.

I’m not sure I’ve heard a home crowd as petty and classless as Richmond’s. Jeering our mistakes when we’re getting hammered? Really?
Heard a heap of it, particularly in the third and fourth quarters. Our players and club were being openly mocked and we just continued to make mistake after mistake giving them more reason to jeer.

As you said; completely classless and I bet if they were on our club’s position having been bottom four for over a decade those same imbeciles they wouldn’t even be at the game supporting their club such is the bandwagon fan base they have (similar to Port’s).
