Keep it simple. Butler and Ramma in for fallen soldiers.
I'm not big on bringing in Finn. They'll be anticipating and structuring accordingly, and hasn't shown he can a offer a second "thing".

Only other possible is Seamus in as well (for who.. Not sure). But I'm in the camp that Amon should be on the wing

Would be stiff, but could be Huswaite out for Shammy.
Amon to wing, Ward into the guts, Seamus to half back.

Against an experienced side like Collingwood there is just no way we should be omitting Bruest.

I get people want to be the first to say “he’s cooked”, but he’ll be out there this week.
Watson injury saves him this week. Will be interesting to what happens when Watson returns, if Butler takes his opportunity then going off current form Breust would be the one to be dropped.

There’s some good competition for forward line spots currently.

Aside from Ramsden for Lewis and Butler for Watson we don’t need to change much more. Breust will get a bit of a chat I’d suggest, nothing more.

Play Hardwick on Daicos. There’s your HFF with a defensive mindset right there.

Drop Frost.

Just wanted to get in as a joke as (finally) no one will suggest it this week.

Ins: Ramsden, Butler, Mitchell, Maginness
Outs: Lewis, Watson, Morrison, Hustwaite

B: Sicily Frost Hardwick
HB: Mitchell Scrim Impey
C: Amon Newcombe Ward
HF: Weddle Ramsden Butler
F: Ginnivan Chol Moore
Fol: Meek Worpel Nash
Int: D'Ambrosio CMac Mackenzie Maginness
Sub: Breust

*Throw Weddle forward as a third tall. I'm still enamoured by that one quarter against Melbourne, and Gunners didn't do enough for a call up.
*Stiff on Morrison and Hust, but Seamus facilitates Amon to a wing and Maginness has a job to do.
*Breust sub, letting the old timer impact when legs are a bit more tired.

really cannot see any reason why you would pick Gunston this week, but they probably will.
he was awful vs Geelong last Saturday, had zero influence on the game and applied zero pressure. Was actually in defence quite a lot.
Calsher Dear looks promising, but a long way off AFL standard right now. Hopefully he develops into a Gunston-type third tall for 2025.
Ramsden really being kept out of the side by the wonderful early-season form of Chol, they are similar types. As yet, he's not a key forward, so the cupboard is pretty bare for a Lewis replacement (as it was last year)
You'd have to imagine Butler straight in for Watson.
Then Gunston for Lewis.
Personally, I'd play Sicily up forward, and bring in Serong down back. Sure, the captain is a better defender, but he has proven many times to be a more than capable goal scorer.

Butler deserves to come in for wizard but I really want to see JOS in the seniors this year. Feel he is exactly what we need

watch that scumbag Maynard target ginnovan, that's unless they are friends I k knoW ginny has plenty of pies friends still
Pretty sure he said his mates were Noble and Quaynor and didn't really give a shit about the others.

Ramma for Lewis and Butler for Watson.

Would like to see Finn come in and take Daicos again, he’s been their only good player in half their games.

Maybe Morrison out, Breust sub with Finn in.
I think Finn should come in for Bruest. Yes it is not a direct swap for forward pocket but Finn will give much more than what Bruest is giving this year.

Hardwick would be best suited to play Elliot, who seems to be in some form (received 9 coaches vote). Maginess to Daicos seems the logical choice and was the main reason why we beat the pies last year.

We need to replace Lewis with Ramsden rather than Gunston. Ramsden relieves Meek in the ruck allowing Chol to remain forward. Butler for Watson. Bring in Shammy, maybe Impey needs a spell at Box Hill. Would like Hust to be given another chance. We match up well against Collingwood.

If Finn tags Daicos he will be playing mainly as a forward.

Will need some of our other small forwards to play a little deeper to cover the loss of Breust but they should be able to do it

If he does come in to tag Daicos then based on last time I don't think Daicos will be spending any energy on defending him. He'll be working on getting separation. Hopefully Finn can find a couple opportunities to make Daicos pay for not being accountable if that happens.

Historically it's been Sicily and Newcombe who've shredded the pies. Both are horribly out of form. I'd be tempted to start Sic forward and just hang with an undersized backline for a bit, I think you can afford to roll the dice against Collingwood and back our medium/small defenders to get the job done.
It'll give us a different look, likely negates the Howe aerial threat and also makes us super dangerous if Sic gets the pill 60 out at high half forward given the ball seems to travel an extra 5 metres on a still evening at AO

Newc was much much much better yesterday
Heading in the right direction but needs to get back to his best (or better) quicker. Worpel hasn't missed a beat and something seemed to click for Nash yesterday as he was back to some of his best. So all eyes on Jai.

Can't believe we wouldn't bring in Finn. Probably has to be Ramsden to replace Lewis. Not sold on Butler and I think we might just leave it to two changes anyway for stability's sake.

If they make a third, maybe Seamus in to free up Amon.
Geezus, what does he have to do? Have you not watched any BH games? he should take Bruests spot immediately.

I agree, feel like Daicos will tear Finn a new one this time around. I'd rather the whole midfield have a more accountable mindset than relying on one negator to limit his influence

Newcombe has to be carrying a niggle. Seems to have lost the acceleration we saw last year and in preseason.

Looks like he's lacking power. Was bowling people over in the praccy match and can barely get out of second gear at the moment.

That being said he turned the corner yesterday and was big for us in the 2nd quarter.
