My point is how can we not look to make some more changes, outside of the injuries.
Do you think Collingwood would want Magginness playing for a start?
it will be five changes in two weeks coming into the pies game regardless if we make any additional moves. that's a fairly significant chunk of your best 22 that's moving around in a side that desperately needs to build structural continuity and trust in teammates.

i believe changes are more likely to come internally (positionally) than from outside the 23. that said, i can see Finn and Shammy coming in as two potential unforced changes

These two changes should be made as a minimum this week if we have winning as the primary objective

He is close, looked much better on the weekend. Played very reactive the first 2 rounds, he started hunting the footy on the weekend. He is too good to be down for long.
With Duke, Worps and Nash in good form, things start to look pretty good. Throw Day back into the mix, and we'll be back in town.

I think the Pencil is right for a big game in this one.
A lot of our young players would have taken a lot of confidence out of that last loss and though we're losing Watto, I know a lot of the young lads are going to want to fly the flag for Ginny.
Cameron is only going so so in the ruck currently, it's going to be vital for us to go after him physically.

In a weird way, I think this game will be won or lost based on our ability to stop their slingshot ability from half back, and our ability to stretch Moore with Chol, Ramma and hopefully Weddle.

Wobbles having a short forwardline could play into our hand amazingly

I’ve had a rethink and would go Gunston over Ramsden. Gunston showed some touch in the second half at Box Hill, has the experience and runs on the board. Whereas Ramsden was fairly average in his first game at Box Hill kicking 1.3 and has never performed at senior level.

In: Gunston, Mitchell, Butler, Maginess
Out: Lewis, Watson, Breust, Morrison

It's only round 4 and I'm s**t out of answers. It's going to be a long season.
In Gunston, Dear, Maginness, Reeves
Out: Lewis, Watson, Hustwaite, Meek
Meek won’t be dropped for Reeves.

He gave good contest after the ruck even if he did cough it up a bit.

Reeves has to work on getting involved more at Box Hill, but maybe more importantly adjusting to the ruck rule change which has impacted him, which I could see he was trying to do at Box Hill by being closer and jumping into his opponent on Saturday.

I had a funny feeling that Jai was a slow starter into a season and had to look at the stats last year.

Low and behold I was right Day, Worpel and Ward were making up the slack last year. Just for those going on about Jai's form

This still ain't an excuse given he is suppose to be our premier mid, he will bounce back but he cant escape criticism

Of course he is not immune to criticism but some of the comparisons were from this year to last year. I think he is tracking around the same currently.

Jai had a great hit out in the last pre season game against the dogs (37 disposals), not sure why it hasn’t transpired into the season proper. Hopefully it all comes together this weekend.

I'm going to the game and I have no idea what time it starts 😅.

Between the half hour time zone difference and daylight savings ending it's gotta be one of 4:40, 5:10 or 5:40 Adelaide time right?
Just do what I did last year, hit up moginie for a drink beforehand and leave when he does!

I tried to watch him at the ground on Monday, and he does seem to be a little sore.
Opposition have clearly put a significant amount of work into his movement around stoppages as well.

I can't go this year unfortunately. Working over the weekend. Bit sad, really.

Would just be nice if he could take a mark and kick a goal. Have been really underwhelmed with his input to date.

We're all excited by Dear but he won't play this week. But I can see him getting a game at some stage this year based on his development trajectory so far.
Nah i know, as i said, just shit out of ideas. Each game has followed the same nightmarish plot so feel we need to try something new.

For some reason, most Pies fans I know are nervous about this game.
Got a mad keen pies supporter in the office and he is both nervous and absolutely filthy at the Ginni attention this week. Reckons that Ginni will get away with all sorts of things this week... having said all of that he's a top bloke and so darned happy with the flag last year that I can't heap too much on him.
