Trades Round 4 trades

The ensuing rookie carnage will probably have me holding Jacobs against the pies this week 😅

Going to trade Houston over Brayshaw and Smith because his change of role is most obvious - at least Smith was pushing up the ground and Brayshaw was attending some centre bounces albeit with low TOG. Too many points for Houston to share with DBJ/McKenzie and no room in that midfield anymore.

Looks like it'll be Pickett/Cavarra/Ash getting the chop. Did somebody say Ollie Florent? 😌

After trades, will have one of the following combos, which is best ?

Weller/Maynard and Curtis Taylor
Or
Noble and Brayshaw

also, who’s the better pick of Weller and Maynard? Maynard the real deal?

Weller better of the two I would think.

Who's the 3rd player playing in your 2nd option?

1st option certainly looks best in terms of point scoring!

There isn’t a 3rd guy. I can either go Pickett to Pittonet and have Brayshaw and Noble on field , or go Brayshaw to Pittonet and upgrade Noble to Weller, and have Weller and Taylor on field

Really hoping Ash holds his spot. He looked good in Q1 last week.

Might just pull the trigger on Smith to Lloyd. He’s damn expensive but you get what you pay for. 200k turns a spud into what should be either the best or 2nd best defender for the season.

Can’t help but feel people are sleeping on Dangerfield? He’s bottomed out, De Boer out of the way, good run coming up

I dont think it's that people are sleeping on him. Just too many other things needing fixing plus lots of better value targets at the minute (eg Worldwide, Simpking).

A 72 from danger last weekend hardly gets you pumped to bring him in either.

In saying that he's only ~ $90k more than McGrath so it certainly has my checking myself...

72 is (90) not huge but ok. 94 the week before. 732k so a lot cheaper than other kids who he’ll likely average as much as

Thoughts?

Rozee - Simpkin
Houston - Lloyd
Jacobs - Pitt

Backing Brayshaw in for one more week, feel there is chance of a higher score for him more than Houston.

Anyone know what the go is with BE's this year? I would have thought that with the drop in scoring then players' prices should be reflecting this?

TooSerious has BE's that are reflective of the drop in scoring but neither FanFooty or the Fantasy site have anything remotely the same.

Is there something I'm missing? (apart from the obvious lack of braincells)

Always seems that way but you'd think Geelong apply extra attention? He's gonna go huge either way though 🤷🏻‍♂️
Going down that path I reckon they pretty much resign to getting brutalised in that area and will look to make it up elsewhere around the ground. Not sure what other options they have seeing as Rat has been useless forward of the ball and Fort is more a fwd than ruck to my eye.

If Max Gawn didn't potentially have 3 games in quick succession I'd be hopping on. Also a major reason why I can't touch Bennell.

Only news on the postponed game is that it won’t be happening any time soon. I think there’s too much upside in both to let that be a factor at the minute. Then there’s fantasy potentially adjusting for the double game week which could rule that a non factor anyhow.

Smith's averaged 50 all year but suddenly he's going to go 20-30 above that against Brisbane?
Potentially very biased, however did score a 73 against the Suns, and the ball will be down the back a bit against us, gut is telling me he's gonna turn it up a bit more against former team mates (good mates), CEY and CC ;)

Exactly right. There's too much value and poor players/non-playing rooks to fix this week.

I've been watching Dangerfield very closely so far, he's playing 20% more midfield time this year compared to last year (source - fantasy freako). He's also had the most CBA's every week for Geelong which is a great sign. With the Deboer tag out of the way he really could start to go bang. Also have my eyes on Whitfield and Macrae as great value targets in the coming weeks. Will be interesting to see how Macrae goes tonight
