AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Understand no one is in a position to upgrade in the mids, and everyone chasing the likes of Simpkin, Pittonet, Bailey Smith etcExactly right. There's too much value and poor players/non-playing rooks to fix this week.
I've been watching Dangerfield very closely so far, he's playing 20% more midfield time this year compared to last year (source - fantasy freako). He's also had the most CBA's every week for Geelong which is a great sign. With the Deboer tag out of the way he really could start to go bang. Also have my eyes on Whitfield and Macrae as great value targets in the coming weeks. Will be interesting to see how Macrae goes tonight
My personal opinion is that they will both avg around 70-75 but I think Ridley might be more consistant.Naismith E tonight so if he scores well, I have to loop D.Cameron into R2. That means no room for Worldwide
Actually hoping for a 50 from Naismith to keep the cash gen rolling but not a real big score. That means I can justify getting Pittonet to R2.
To actually get Worldwide, I'm considering downgrading Ceglar. He has been ok and will be a good enough fwd but I think he has almost peaked and has Goldy this week. That said, he will probably still be better than Brayshaw as a fwd.
If Naismith gets a 50 tonight:
Ceglar/Brayshaw to Worldwide via Ceglar to fwd
Whit to Simpkin
Pickett to Ridley/Doedee via Starce to mid
Would you go Ridley or Doedee + 100k?
Thoughts on why Doedee is good value:
- My general rule is that poor teams will see more action in the backline. Given how the Crows are going, Doedee is going to be seeing plenty of the ball.
- His debut year (2 years ago), he averaged 72.5. With natural develop/progression, this will likely increase.
- If he averages 70-75 (BCV 87.5-93.5) here on out, thats more than enough for D6.
Given then above, I think Doedee will come up with the goods (or a good stepping stone). Keep in mind that I did back in Brodie Smith to be a top scoring Defender....
Naismith averaging that would be nuts given his scoring historyMy personal opinion is that they will both avg around 70-75 but I think Ridley might be more consistant.
I went Ridley last week and may go Doedee next week
I think he meant Doedee and Ridley averaging 70-75. That is also overs I think, for both. Might just grab Ridley as I can afford to and he will make cash quickly so I can get up to Lloyd in a few weeks.Naismith averaging that would be nuts given his scoring history
Thoughts on Florent mate?I think he meant Doedee and Ridley averaging 70-75. That is also overs I think, for both. Might just grab Ridley as I can afford to and he will make cash quickly so I can get up to Lloyd in a few weeks.
I actually think Cogs goes big this week
yeah great role, assuming you already have Simpkin, he is the next best around that price. He is MID only though but will be a decent stepping stone. I would be jumping on but I already have Ward, who fulfils the same purpose for me.Thoughts on Florent mate?
Not interested in Simpkin I'll take the comp on with that one and happy to put my hand up if it's the wrong love. If there's no rookies carnage for me I'll hop on Florent though.yeah great role, assuming you already have Simpkin, he is the next best around that price. thoughts on Houston effect with Duurs out? Does he float out onto a wing and play more midfield?
GWS "spuds" out.. North Melbourne players in.. What a time to be alive
Rivers a safer bet given Bennell will only play 50% of the gameWho do I field out of bennell or rivers? It’s impossible for me to pick the right one. One will score 30 more than the other.
Also I will finally have Budarick on field after his back to back 60s on my bench, he is back to 30s this week
