Because our backs push up but we got smoked at clearance and the ball came in quick
So when we have 3 defenders flying and the ball gets out the back? Doesn’t matter how quick the ball comes in in that situation, someone has to cover the back, or, don’t let it out the back, we were outplayed and well and truely out coached.

IN: Steene Allan Ryan

Out: Reef Crisp(IF Suspended) IQ

Ryan Misses out IF Crisp Plays
On today's effort in the VFL it would be folly to bring in Steene. IQ won't be dropped. A few others like WHE, Mcreery & McInnes were far more ineffectual. Much of that related to their periods of dominance in the middle and general pressure from Brisbane.

The pressure bubble has burst. Hopefully the media can stop the hype and jump on another team. We do need to revisit the ruck plan.

I think Steen should be looked at.
Frampton looked good when he went into the ruck. McStay, not so much.

I'd be more tempted with Moore as a centre bounce ruck.
No counter attack apparent and often caught in no mans land defensively, so I'd be seeing if he could offer something there for us.

In:

Anyone over 200cm who can contest & at least put pressure the opposition ruck

Ginnivan think he’s the type to play better at a better level. Also one of our more accurate kicks on goal

Quaynor is my only worry. He’s close to last picked atm if we had full team. He’s been fumbly all season when he’s usually the opposite.

Marshall is a better ruck than Big O which is a concern.

In: Ginnivan
Out: Reef
My 14 year old son started calling him fumbles.

Steene doesn't play for mine. Was smashed today by Fort. Just isn't strong enough to play the role yet. Will be beaten in the ruck particularly at stoppages and won't offer much in general play. We played Begg when he wasn't ready but Begg is pretty good at ground level and was able to gather quite a few possies. Steene has more scope as a ruck but you could legit demoralise the kid if performs like he did today on the big stage. Give Frampton a crack.

Not sure of changes, however we had many players down tonight.
McStay average, Sidey average, McCreery average, Crisp average, Elliott average, WHE average, McInnes poor, Quaynor average, Mitchell quiet, that Russian oligarch bloke average, J Daicos quiet
Seems like heaps of up scope to me.
Manufacturing a reasonable ruck would help…

It's more keeping our Structure that is better

My thoughts too, reorganise the back half and play Frampton in the ruck.
Sort of agree, Frampton has done his job down back well, but horses for course approach Murphy can play 2nd tall especially against St Kilda who don't have many talls. Frampton to do what he's done all year so far just provide a contest against Marshall, Mcstay back up forward and our structure looks a whole lot better

In: Ginnivan
Out: Reef

IQ also very close to being dropped hasn't set the world on fire so far this year

This is easy this week:
Out: Reef, Markov
In: Steene, Allan

Don’t care if he’s not ready it’s only Marshal next week so Steene can sort of get close maybe but we need forward structure.
Allan just calling out to be picked and a perfect time to debut him. Plus it’s a shorter flight to SA for Ben and family. 😂

Play Frampton in the ruck, Saints don't have many tell forwards, out McInnes and Crisp if he gets suspended, he's Collingwood so he will, in Markov and either McCrae or Allen, I thought Markov did pretty well when he came on. Ginnivan needs to do something before getting back in

With our current ruck issue I think we need to play Nick Daicos in the midfield. We looked much better once that change had been made. If we go that way I’d debut Ryan at half back.

Quaynor is my only worry. He’s close to last picked atm if we had full team. He’s been fumbly all season when he’s usually the opposite.

I've thought for a while that , as a whole , Collingwood supporters over rate IQ. I can see the potential etc....and he's always in great nick but he's a marginal pick each week for mine if I was doing the selections.
