Yep, how we expect to win enough games with one forward plus jelly beans is beyond me. White should be in by default.

white would do more then reid with one hand atm... i cant believe its come down to me saying this, i am shattered by how shit reid has become after signing for huge bucks... its a joke

White in. Don't care who makes way, get him in the team and plonk him in the F50. Reid is getting smashed and I don't want him to become a decoy type forward. Goodes should be used to stretch the defence as a 3rd tall imo. Hate the fact that the sub rule has seen one of the key forward spots in our team die.

I know this will be in the thread for next match but Goodes (hip could be weeks), LRT and Everitt out. White, Walsh and Morton in. I'd also play Pyle over seaby the spud!

Ah man we got so close!! One of the most nerveracking experiences in my 16 years of living...mum and sister had given up hope when **** got the point..shouldv'e joined them there...pretty emotional and angry after the siren.

Horse needs to make better decisions with his sub...we need a burst player off the sub not a tall...Everitt should've started.

But this is why I love footy...brings us these highs and lows which I love (strange). 2 bogey teams in a row...let's smash these Tiges.

I've had a pretty awful day and this has just compounded it. The coaching staff made some bad initial mistakes, but our midfield's performance fluctuated and our defence wasn't able to control their forward line at all. Whoever decided Hanners should be hanging around halfback line should be shot. Looked out of depth and it cost us goals.

Dangerfield just tore it up, but the fact that he just ket getting to the contest winning clearances means we should have made sure he had pressure on him at all times. Adeladie's mids and Dangerfield (who just stole the ball from his hand a couple of times) really did a number on Joey, too bad we couldn't do the same teamwork.

Our forward line...we'll nothings really changed in that respect, but Goodes going down was a bit of a nail in the coffin. Unfortunately our mids only brought more intensity after he left the field.

We certainly had some good patches, some awful ones and wasted critical opportunities when Adelaide capitalised on them all. It wasn't a very enjoyable game to watch and I think there will be some players cringing after watching the replay. Some really nuffie plays at critical times.

On the other hand, Lewis Jetta!:heart::heart: I was critical of him last year, but that was a really good game and he is having a career defining season. He certainly put in and was pretty inspirational at times. I really hope he doesn't get down about that last miss though, because some players tend to take those moments really personally and feel like they let their teammates down. He almost won us that game, he definitely didn't lose it.

A thoroughly disappointing game. but the team and coaches can learn from some of those critical mistakes. 5 early wins don't define a season and certainly, neither does one loss.

You have no clue, if you think its healthy to play a guy who is so outta form it has all the experts who played the game saying the same thing, including dunstall who knows a thing or 2 abt being a forward.

i bet you loved kennelly playing the last half of last year even thou he was a total liability..

i hate you, and vice a versa, whatever..

Getting a bit too aggressive there pal!

Morton? Ugh, no thanks.

TDL in for Everitt wouldn't be bad, but Walsh and especially Morton are a couple of weeks away at least.

you have no clue whatsoever, i bet you have never played this game seriously b4, i bet my bf membership on it.

Perspective, ok: How about the last 3 games: 21 disposals, 8 marks, 6 tackles, 4 behinds and 0 goals.

Disappointing to have lost that one but it's not the end of the world.

Reid needs help and is still learning at 20 years of age he's not going to be the one who can can provide us the answers up forward just yet, Goodes managed to help but going down with the injury really hurt us.

Exciting game and very nice to see Jetta backing himself around the ground and using the pace he has to advantage, Jetta and Parker have showed a lot so far this year as young players.

Next week I hope we bring in either TDL, White, Morton or Walsh to help out up forward, I'm guessing it will be White but Morton has strung a few good games together in the reserves with a bag of 10 today and I like to look back at how TDL started his career he looked very promising.

Peoples thoughts on Grundy and LRT?

I thought Grundy was Ok.
Played on Tippett who was unsighted and then went to walker 4Q.

Thought he was good 3rd up as well, but his use of the ball will always be his greatest liability.

LRT IMO played his role, when we finally got the fwd structure right.
Started fwd, but immediately went back because Adel started McKernan fwd.

He was important in our revival, by playing a decoy role taking Rutten away from the contest (as Reid did with Talia). It was a reason why Goodes had an open fwd line and could go one out with Henderson.

LRT's stats were underwhelming 9 disp 1 HO, but a player of his ilk is still needed for our structure IMO.
His flexibility (back fwd ruck) is useful.
Pyke is a better ruck, White may be a better fwd, but they don't have that ability to play back as Longmire decided we needed for Mckernan.

TBH I think we need to fix the structural issues before we start pointing too many fingers, as replacements will have exactly the same issues.

In passing I think our backline runners need to be sorted out as well.
Malceski is the guy giving us nearly all our run.
We have 7 backmen in the team;
Grundy, Johnson, Richards
Mattner
Mal, Shaw, Smith,

The problem is Shaw has become primarily a tagger, Mattner a 3rd man up/loose man, Smith mainly a tagger, so that the first two who have been fine rebounders for us in the past just aren't doing that job, because their roles have changed.

Our midfield has been very good, defensively we have been OK, but IMO we need more run from defence & an effective fwd structure that doesn't allow 3rd men up.

He spent almost every single contest tonight getting locked up by Talia who allowed a third man over or across the front. It's been happening the last few weeks. It'd make more sense to get another big forward in than to just drop the one who keeps two defenders busy and could then do some damage when one drops off.

He's soft and still goes missing even against slightly better NEAFL teams. 10 goals in a 200 point win does nothing to change my opinion tbh, just shows that he's good when it's easy.

So his 40 goals a couple of years ago was against pedestrian teams at afl level? He has talent, he also has attitude, he only needs to drop the latter! Give him a crack before judging. TDL on the other hand has talent and the heart the size of a pea!

I don't give a shit about his heart size if he kicks goals, he won us a final then gets banished into oblivion, we backed Jetta when he was the laughing stock of the competition why wasnt TDL offered the same chance?

TDL has really improved his attack on the ball/man from all reports, but you're prepared to rule him out and tell me not to judge? Morton has a lot of talent I agree, but 40 goals 2-3 years ago means nothing now.

I'd back TDL ahead of Morton at this stage without second guessing it at all.

Quite a few here don't seem to realise what he does for the structure of our team. He's the reason so many other players have been able to kick goals this year, because he's the focus of the opposition's best two defenders.

He's struggling to make the impact we know he's capable of, but we won't be better off without him. White won't offer more, we've all seen it time and time again.

Reid and White/TDL is what we need to stick with for a few weeks.

Exactly. Couldn't agree more with DA, Shotties, and JohnG here. Reid goes out and you guys just end up heaping shit on our other Key forwards as they get ripped apart next week.

If he was getting beaten one out every week then I'd want him dropped too, but he isn't. He's taking at least 2 defenders with him everywhere he goes and in previous weeks that's brought our other goal kicking options into the game. This week the crows were just too slick across half back for us to deal with.

Great game tonight by both teams, I think the players reaction to the win shows how much respect the Crows have for you boys.

You guys will be right up there, hopefully us too.

F**K off you idiot why bother with that comment? That was Adelaide at their best and us not even close to our best so enjoy it while you can d**khead!
I'm ashamed that you are a Swans supporter.
That's the kind of crap I'd expect from other team's ferrels but I guess we've got them too. Pull your heads in idiots. We were beaten by a quality team.:(
