first quarter lost us the game, simple as that, we were pretty decent after it, though we just lack the poise Sydney have

Ahh lets see:
1. Lack of skill
2. Outclassed
3. Turned it over constantly
4. Never made the most of our opportunities
5. We weren't able to run and spread
6. Concerns me is the high kick in the 50
7. Us lower the eyes and hit a leading target
8. Tried really hard in close but just lacked that polish
...other than this " i didnt think the performance was too bad";)

Ha ha - yeah i know how it sounds but considering all that - I didn't think it was as bad as what it could have been. Put it this way I am not going to microwave my membership just yet :)

Why on earth hasn't Voss been sacked! He has had more than enough time...he has destroyed our list and we've only gone backwards since he took over. Actually do you reckon Paul Roos could take over from him at quarter time, you know just for the rest of the game?

That is not a very constructive thing to say .
Third youngest list playing against last years Premiers.
Think about it.

Ceebee, this has now been used as an excuse for considerable time. How long are we going to be using the same old argument? The glaring lack of player development compared to other clubs over the past five years is now becoming a critical point of difference.

I do agree with this.

We really do need a couple of players step into the elite category.

??? Takes a while to change the age profile of a list. It's a valid excuse right now.

I watched about 10 minutes of the game. Pretty disappointed with our first quarter and of the short time I watched the game our skills were ordinary. We were missing a target 4 metres away FFS. Not sure what the go is at the moment but I can't help but feel we are in for a tough year.

Don't think we suffer from a lack of development but I think our expectation of our midfield is probably too high for their age. The 3 R's I think are all only turning 23. Hanley is 25 and you can tell by him he looks a little bit ahead of them because he's 2 years older. The truly elite players of the game such as Ablett, Watson Swan and Judd are all closer to 30. Judd of course was very good from day 1 but there's a common trend. Pendlebury and Murphy again are a little older then our midfield and the've peaked at the right time. We just need to be patient and wait.
