Any updates on Newman? All I can find is it was a jarred knee, but you’d think with the way the game was they would’ve got him back out there if it wasn’t that bad.

He’s been frustrating me. Brought him in after round 1 and hasn’t gone as well as I had expected without being terrible at the same time. Still has the potential to be big for me, but I think if he misses it’s time to move him on and hold Libba.

Whilst we’re at it. Anyone got any intel on Larky’s JD? He definitely gets another week after kicking three goals, but how quickly will they drop him? Won’t kick three goals every week but will happily take him scoring 50s at F8 over Balta’s 30s

In serious trouble this week if Cogs and Whit both miss. Even if they play they will both be scoring poorly. Just disastrous given they have such a favourable draw coming up.
Whit to Lloyd likely even if Whit is named, need to be sure that he is still not battling the corkie as I can't afford to get another sub 50 from him.
After my best round, it is so typical that I have these issues to deal with now.

A
Yeah can’t believe he’s so cheap. I’m looking for someone in that price range and it’s him or Zac Jones. Jones feels safer but wow if Yeo gets going it could be a steal and a massive POD until the traders name him out 😂
good run coming up too

Libba out and would like to replace him with another Round 12 player.

O’Meara
Rockliff
Shiel
Fyfe
Bontempelli
Hunter
Merrett
Heppell

Decisions, decisions.

Hunter would be my bet from those. With Bont in the middle, won't get tagged and racks up huge numbers on the wing and in defence. Great pick if it comes off. Rocky, if you want to play it safe

Jeremy Howe is currently 536k which equates to a 73.8 average. Since moving down back in round 7, 2016 he has posted the following averages:

2016: 86.7 from the final 16 games
2017: 89.9 from 21 games
2018: 86.4 from 16 games (excluding the 17 he scored in round 19 when he was concussed in the first quarter).

He is currently averaging 76 with three good scores (100, 98, 87), one average score (72) and two shockers (56, 43). Don't let these scores put you off however, he started last season slowly too - averaging 70.3 after the first four rounds which included scores of 56 and 42, before averaging 91.8 from his next 12 games. He also had a delayed start to the pre-season this year due to quad surgery so a slow start was to be expected.

Has gone 80+ in 38 of his last 59 games, and 100+ in 15 of these games including scores of 132, 131, 126, 125 and 123. Collingwood play the following teams leading up to the bye, with Howe's scores against them in the last three seasons in brackets:

Port (89, 118, 90), Carlton (84, 75, 60, 98), St Kilda (132, 108), Sydney (75), Freo (83, 65) and Melbourne (90, 83, 95, 59). In just 4% of teams, he looms as a tasty POD at a discounted price. Howe are you going to get him in?

Won't be pushing for top 6 defender so not going to get him in

Well said, could be worth it, he’s extremely cheap, what’s his BE?

This. My only mid pricers are those at the beginning of the season. Only those who are going to be at the finish are what I’m reading in from now

He doesn't have to be top 6. Just needs to go at 85-90 for the next 6 weeks before you can upgrade him to a bonafide top 6 defender during his bye for roughly 100k.

This game is all about buying low and getting in players just before they get on a run of good scoring, and with Howe's history + cheap price he's as good an option as any imo.

Well said, could be worth it, he’s extremely cheap, what’s his BE?

I don't have Assistant Coach but on Footywire it says it's 92 so you could wait another week.

Posted this whilst at work, so didnt have the chance to look for answers. Since then have had a little look.

Can't actually find anything about Newman, will have to wait for the injury report tomorrow. I think the fact that he couldnt return is alarming though.

Things actually look quite positive for Larkey. Was leading goal kicker in the VFL last season and is spending his third year on an AFL list this season and has improved his body. After having a read of the North Melbourne board there is a lot of support for this bloke, so hopefully he gets more opportunities. I am on board!

Drew and Duursma to Answerth and Houli

Or

Burgess and Dunkley to Answeth and Houli?

Either one feels I little bit off. Duursma coming off a 90 and Dunkley while really underperforming has the potential to go big and have rookies on field still obviously.

I’d go 1 mate. Get the rookies off the ground first. Drew and Duursma have more coin to make you Answerth will go up more than those over the coming weeks and always great to get a premo in
