Bad luck Schulz, thought his game in the VFL last week would have saved him after a bad game against the Saints.

Bowdens worked his way back the hard way.

So Bomber did Drop him for the HOF Game just to keep him safe:mad:

He didnt play the week before either.

liked the look of valenti in the preseason against the cats, hope he gets his chance in the coming weeks.

Surely you'd want to reward the players for their efforts against freo by not dropping anyone save for injuries.

WTF is that. How many KPPs can we have in one ____en side. 2 on the bench, with 2 tall forwards, 3 tall defenders in the side too and 2 ruckman in the 18. Jesus Christ....

Massive ins for Brisbane there... Roe, Drummond, Johnstone, Black, Brown

Leunenburger goes from Dream Team squad to playing QSFL in the space of 3 weeks.

Clearly we're resting the young fella. Don't think we're going to need him against the formidable ruck duo of Kreuzer and Ackland.

So Bomber did Drop him for the HOF Game just to keep him safe:mad:

Damn flipping straight. As if we would risk our best player in a game that means nothing.

FWIW, Ablett really did want to play last week but missed against Brisbane the previous week and failed the fitness test required to play. So go sook somewhere else.

valenti should be a good player for us, good around the clearances... traditional footballer, knows how to find the footy...

i think we'll see a couple of players dropped... carroll being named on the bench tells me i think he'll miss out, and jamar may make way for paul johnson returning from injury...

Just out of interest, what happened to Wheelan? Injured again?

ill i believe... he missed the freo game due to illness... played a quarter for sandringham last week, before not being seen again due to his illness...

hopefully it's not too serious and he gets better soon

It can't be a form issue. It has to be based on team structure (with Brown coming back, Clark doing well as a forward last week) and resting a young body with an extra week off. On form he has been better than Charman in the last few weeks.

This Brisbane team is different to the team on afl.com.au??

You guys would still beat us in the ruck even if Charman wasn't playing, Ackland and Kruezer? Come on Ratten. I would say it is a good decision for you guys to have given Luenberger a rest, just look at your INs .

There's 1 KPP on the bench

Still named as an emergency, and gotta be question marks over the fitness of at least one of the five in's, as well. So I'm not so sure it's about resting him moreso than team balance.

The team here is correct. The team there is who was named to play the Cats 2 weeks ago

Is Hampson injured or something?

When fit he'd be well above Ackland in the pecking order wouldn't he?

Hampson has just come back from injury and seems to be struggling with his confidence of late, but, i don't think anyone knows what Ratten is doing with him at the moment. He is definately ahead of Hackland full fit, i think Hackland is playing because of Charman. Don't want Hampson to get injured again, so maybe we are using Hackland as a pawn?

Combination of having a reoccuring knee injury, and probably not wanting to risk the two young ruckman at once against a seasoned vet in Charman.

Only two weeks for Johnstone to recover from a hamstring injury?
