stevenson --> sierakowski is locked in
question is to get rid of hartlett or wines. i really want to get rid of wines but hartlett's BE is just disgusting. what u guys rekon? give him another chance?

I think wines has a better chance of scoring, or making his be, losing less than hartlett, good bye hartlett this week, wines to s Mitchell next week.

Did you see the link I posted about hartlett a few hours back? Book says he's terrible under a tag and he's one of the influential players, he has a big game, good chance port win, he gets tagged port lose. Boak says he's working with him to better it but it's not an overnight fix. Too many star teams coming up to tag hartlett for my liking.

fair point. i'll probably go hartlett -> birchall if i end up keeping wines

Nice, I downgraded Rowe and upgraded hartlett to Hanley, next week I'll be cutting the last 2 port boys I have, neade and wines. If all goes to plan.

Anybody jumping on the Staker bandwagon? I must admit he'd be a good swap for Neade...

Staker has a band, wagon OR bandwagon??

In all seriousness, I'm watching him quite closely over the next fortnight cos I'm a Lions supporter. But I doubt he'll score well DT-wise. I expect his mobility will be very slow to get back, he has been out of the AFL for so long :( I should think he'll be spending a fair bit of time on the bench over the next few weeks.

As Griffin is now injured should I trade him to Daw? Will he score as well as he did this week? Might just trade to Cox if I pass on Daw.

Be doing similar. Hartlett and Neade gone this week. I'm backing Wines to do better against the Blues MF this week, even if he doesn't reach his BE. Then he's out next week for someone like Job.

Ummm hard call and I'm surprised you don't already have Cox. Regarding Daw, you have missed a price rise but he still has a very very low BE. He also has a round 12 bye which is always handy. Obviously you can't expect him to always score as he did but I expect him to have a very good average. In fact, he should definitely be one of the highest of all rookies I reckon. Maybe I'm getting a little excited but every game he has looked the real deal. He's a hard player to keep quiet - consider his size, strength and pace - and so he shouldn't be quiet often. If you don't get him this week, then any other week will be too late, but such a cheap ruck who has the potential to pump out huge scores can't be ignored.

Having said that, all teams (I think) should have Cox. He should certainly be the top ruck come the end of the year, has dropped in price, is a DPP and also has a round 12 bye.

So, in short, Daw should have a good average, but Cox is a much more reliable option.

Apologies for the long post.

What are thoughts on downgrading Wines to Kerridge vs Lonergan (etc)?

Obviously you make less money immediately off Kerridge but he should hit 300k. Or is better going for the bottom priced rookie?

Some people have gone money mad on this forum. Didn't think you could waste trades with 2 a round this year, but trading Hartlett has got to be the most backward trade so far this year.

Trading out a player that can only score hundreds against average opposition and then 30s against anyone decent?
I'd rather have someone that is consistent for getting 80s than that.

lolwut. I don't like the 30's came from playing 'decent' opposition mate. Injuries and taggings

Terlich > Birch
Wines > Hodgey

Hawks ftw.

I feel very weird, but I've just traded in D Martin. For the Melbourne LOLs, for the bye structure, for this BE compared to others around his price and for the DPP flexibility.

I still feel very strange having voluntarily done this....

hartlett > Ellis ( pure cashcow purposes, hartlett back in after the bye)
Monfries > Jetta ( basically the same reason, they score the same, why not make 100k out of it)

From left field.

Drew Petrie, Watched him last week and seems to be leading outside the 50m zone and taking a lot more marks out on leads. This seems like a favourable DT role change as he does not have to stay at home as much with Majak playing the marking target close to goal and Goldstein rucks a lot of the game. Has really peaked my interest as a unique averaging 91 over his last 4.
