Who is the better pick up?

Byrnes to Franklin

Byrnes to Goldstein (via Cox forward)

last trade in forwards and rucks for foreseeable planned future so no Franklin now means no Franklin period. Tossing up whether he will regain form in the next 3 rounds.

Not sold on Lynch (to me looks like Hoff part 2)

Wines to Birchall I think this week to cash in on the Hawks v GWS. Also Byrnes to Franklin. Cash next week to get Watson and possibly another upgrade depending on price changes.

I'm also jumping on Birchall this week and one of Mitchell/Franklin. Current form and BE analysis would suggest I should get Mitchell this week and Franklin next week but I like the idea of Franklin against a Davis-less GWS o_O

EDIT:
Harlett -> Birchall
& Neade -> Mitchell/Franklin leaving me with either 55k or 146k to use the following round

Just noticed Hartlett's BE is the highest of the comp at the moment... of 183 he's going to drop another 40-50k surely?!

Based off this I decided to do these trades -

Instead of // neade > Kennedy // Wines > S Mitchell //

I decided to go with this -

// Rowe > B Kennedy // Hartlett > Hanley //

(Kennedy Security isn't that great, but better than rowes!) And that now leaves me with 50k in the bank, I Will then downgrade Neade next week to someone in the bubble preferably, And upgrade Wines to then Mitchell to take advantage of steady 100+ scores, I will miss out on the GWS game, but at least I'll have a steady performer in Hanley... I feel if we don't jump off hartlett now you may never get the chance too after studying his BE..

Boak's even said himself he's terrible at tags and will be taught at training throughout the year how to deal with it, So don't expect the greatest scores against carlton you'd think right ?!

Do you think I've made the better decision here? I feel Wines has a better chance to score better than hartlett this week.

Bit heavy on the forwards there Gingy. I'm assuming you will be moving SJ and Rockliff to the forwardline eventually?

When the MBR's come you and a bunch of others I suspect will spew that you don't have 3 M/F DP links in your mids. Just sayin' (I will try and get a B/M link in my mids as well before the byes) I plan to keep 2 premo forwards in my starting 8 mids until after the MBR's.

Gone Neade -> Lonergan and Heath -> Hanley this week. Leaves me with $72k in the bank which is a handy amount.

Of course this is all dependant on Swallow playing this week after I traded him for Cotchin last week (I know)..

Then next week it'll be Stevenson to Thurlow and Wines to perhaps Deledio. Then after the byes I'll bring in Cotchin once his price has fallen completely and even look towards Matty Boyd.

Already have Buddy so I am basically stuck with him, going to have to miss the SJ boat for now and hope that he drops off soon but thankfully I have had Nroo from the start so that almost balances that out.

For me at the moment, it is just picking which fallen guns you want to pick up and whether you're going to do it before or after their bye (Gibbs, Cotchin) and making sure that you have the cash and the downgrades to be able to do said trades really.

Hartlett will come good again but I'm not prepared to lose 40k in his value (and ~40k+ value in not trading in a cashcow in his position).

I've gone Hartlett > B. Ellis, Neade > Kerridge.

I was tempted to trade Daw in as well for the $$, but I think Kerridge is the more likely of the two to increase most in value.

Is it worth doing Michael Walters -> Franklin?

Even with Hawthorn up against GWS, he will most likely drop in price whilse Walters is in good form and should rise.

Should I hold off for another week addressing other priorities, freeing up cash in the process?

No he won't, you are allowed to upgrade a rookie listed player mid year. Which will be him of course when Trengove comes off the LTI list.

There is a good chance he will be playing a full game this week, but it is also pretty risky to bank on it. As Shultzenfest said, he is just so damn good at being the sub. When he played a full game the previous week against the roos he was actually not that good and didn't have the same impact as normal.

Pretty sure if the club doesn't have anyone on the LTI list then all upgraded rookies will be downgraded. Unless I am reading in to it wrong. Take Collingwood for example. Mooney was recent upgraded last week, when that player he replaced comes back in 7 weeks, I am pretty sure he will be downgraded again.

If all team selections go according to plan ill be going with:

Neade > Lonergan
Mayes > J.Selwood

Not worth trading Mayes, he is doing so well he is a keeper, well for now until the bye rounds when you can then upgrade all the players under 300k to premos.

Jesse Lonergan? How much higher average will he get than Neade? will that increased average be worth the trade?

Thoughts on Sending Neade to the forwards an trading him out for Crows Tom Lynch? Sure you missed the money upgrade weekend just gone, He can jump in value many more times.

Walters averaging 97 coming of scores of 118 & 129 with a B/E of 23 and you want to cull him?

Talking about Franklin ... I don't care who Hawks are playing the next 3 weeks, if the fella can't perform this round, he may be on the chopping block the week after. He is bloody lucky I have Stevenson & Neade to trade on Sunday Night

How? Crows don't have a forward line of star big men this season. They still have the midfield to drill the ball in quite often. If you don't get Lynch, it might be the biggest mistake you've ever made in dreamteam.

They play St Kilda at home this coming round, then Kangaroos at Etihad where it is known Etihad is a smallish ground and the ball travels quickly into forward lines there. And then Freo & Swans at HOME. Not a difficult set of fixtures coming up.

am confident hewill score well, not 150+ like this recent round but his confidence is up so anything is possible. He is still not recognised as a key big man up forward so won tbe getting the oppositions best defender.

Hartlett>Vlaustin to recover some cash before I trade in a defender, don't know who they are all rubbish.

Neade>Dusty

Then next week I'll be able to upgrade a rookie to Jobe or someone in the midfield, not sure who they all seem to be scoring averagely as well.

What a horrendous year for DT
