Because I dont believe Parker or Billings are premiums (Those who will be top 10 in their position).
Last round I moved on Parker for Mcrae. In round four I moved Billings (then $623k, now $551k) with on for R Gray (then $636k, now $693k). The sums on the points scored will also tell a good story on that trade. With Parker to Mcrae I dropped a disapointment and bought into the best scorer in the comp. There would be a stack of cheaper players that will give me what Parker has, only without the nostalgia of past season. The Swans are a different team now. Even JJK makes me a lttle nervous as a pick.

Assume you mean JPK lol.

And that's fair enough, I was close to going Billings to Gray but missed the chance. Guess I was mainly trying to highlight the fallacy that losing money on premiums sitting in your team isn't the same as gaining money on rookies you're going to eventually trade out. An unrealised loss means nothing if you never trade the player.

True. None of this thinking is set in stone for me and appreciate the criticism. I am ranked 550 this round and very nervous. I have $190k on hand and can bring in any gun I want. There are so many options and getting it right can make the difference between finishing top 100 again or blowing out. And the byes are coming!

Very nice! Good luck.

Billings tons up in Saints wins and did that again this year in their only win so might just hold him for now.

Yeah that's me.

One thing that has occurred to me (in the above discussion about Top 6 FWDs) is that when a player misses a game their 0 isn't figured into their average, but for your team obviously you cop a premium missing a game. So should be factored in somehow.
Super impressive, I think I'll try to replicate something similar so that my under-performers get found out.

Yeah the averages and price changes there are since coming into my team, gives a better perspective.

Anyone have any reasoning behind Hibberd's return to form? Any structural changes at the Dees going in his favour or can we expect 60's again soon?

We've dropped Wagner from the backline and ever so slightly eased off the high press which has given him more freedom to do what he wants. He's looked in fantastic form these past two weeks.

Caveat - we also have not played against quality opposition these past two weeks. Not that we will in the next two weeks either though

Appreciate your comments! He certainly is tempting this week. What would your final call be on a Doedee > Hibberd trade over a Doedee > Whitfield trade?

Last option. Inanimate objects are clearly an upgrade on Billings....

Traded billings to spargo last week. Saved me over 300k and gained me 5 points...

Billings to Gray + 104k

or

Finlayson to Crouch/Yeo

Gray won’t outscore Billings from now til round 11 due to the PA bye and likely won’t appreciate much.

Option 2. Both great options - which do you need to get more rookies off your field? And or which sits your bye structure more?

Can beat that, didn't have Billings all year.

Priceless....

(One of my very few correct decisions this year)

I'll have to hold him regardless I think especially if Nic Nat is unsuccessful.

Fair point.... I had Pendles in my sight until he got injured, have to Macrae instead this week.

Likely to do option 2 if Dylan clarke is named. Him and Crouch and Billings will outscore gray and Finlayson and Mutch.

As for bye structure, neither really improves, as I’ll be looking to bring gray in ASAP after his bye (if not for this week)
