Got no sympathy for those with 3 playing rucks that seem to be having headaches over how to manage the situation.

That’s like owning 3 cars and stressing about only having a 2 car garage. Where do I sign up for that headache?
Give me a bit of sympathy for the fact that whoever I field out of Mummy or ROB this weekend will probably be the wrong decision

Hadn't really considered Baker as, given he's price at $380k, I felt I'd missed the boat on him. Was going to go Drew -> Hately, but with Danger potentially missing, I'd have to play Petru which I'm a little worried about.

Thinking I might go Burgess -> Baker for my second trade. With a BE of 0 and in decent form, I think he's a good pick up for D6 for the time being despite the cost. This way, Drew (who should still go up in value) will be my late in if Danger misses. Oh and I finally get Burgess out of my ******* team!

Not sure who to start at M8 out of Gibbons, Stack or Lockhart though?
Lockhart shown the higher ceiling?

Libba > Dunkley (Danger to mids)
Constable > Hately (if named) otherwise Wilkie > Answerth

Bank: 149k
Rank: 2824

Will look to upgrade one of Duursma/Drew next week

I like the move of Danger to the mids

I was looking at English > Marshall via Bines this week and holding off on Libba for next week, but have now gone Libba > Boak and Danger to mid with cover then from either Hayes or Hately, rather than Gibbons or Parker. Will do the English move next week.

You could still do the Constable > Answerth move cos he is a DPP

Would also love some help this week. No clue what to do. Only have 18k in the bank. The aim is to pick up Whitfield once he has dropped in price in a week or two. I think I may have no choice but to keep Libba, especially as it greatly helps my bye structure... and surely he can't get any worse than last weekend? Right? Right!? ******* Libba.

My only thoughts at the moment are:
Scott/Drew to Answerth/Hayes
Then I got nada

Drew -> Answerth/Hayes trade 1 looks good.
Schultz -> Baker? He's pricey but a good bye setup. He's also your ready F6 replacement when you eventually move on Rozee.

Hopefully Hind debuts next and you can do Scott-> Hind for a bit of cash soon.

I like Hately more as he's a mid and a better scorer than a lockdown defender, but I do like the idea of Constable > Answerth as I could swing him to defence next week and downgrade Wilkie to a Mid rookie instead of a possibly non existent def rookie.

I was not aware that Marshall has DPP in this format!

What about upgrading your forward line and work on getting Drew or Gibbons off the field. I think Parker is the likely out. I'd be tossing Libba and Parker. Put your premo forward on the field and one of either Drew or Gibbons go to the bench, Stack on the field, and new rookie on the bench in the mids. Or you could bring a rookie defender in via Answerth DPP with that trade. I think that all checks out but might wanna run over it just to be sure.

must admit, Gibbons/Parker on field has been my magor concern for sometime.

So something like Libba and Parker Out, Corbet and Dunkley (just as example) in ?

Appreciate it. Think that's what I'll be doing as it gives me some decent cash in the bank. I could even swing Rozee back and play him and move Baker on field that way

Yeh, scored a ton last week but also has score of 32, 67 and 42.

Stack seems to alternate good weeks and bad weeks (and is on for a bad one this week). Gibbons equally inconsistent.
They all come with their faults. Lockhart has shown he can score quite quickly though and has shown a fair few glimpses of what you want in fantasy scorers .eg. marks, tackles and kicks goals. So he ticks a lot of boxes. It would be out of him and Stack

Well I'd be bringing a premium forward in (I normally look at who is running hot or someone buy low with potential), so me personally I'd be looking at a Mundy as a POD and going at 105 his last 3, or Dunkley if you think he's on the way back up/if you can trust him. Then you'd need to bring in a cheap midfielder with your leftover cash, and move stack onto the field. Alternatively you can do exactly all of the above, put stack on the field, swing Answerth to mid bench, and bring in a cheap defender.

I have Hately already (went early), regretting it cos not sure of his JS, and he was only in last week cos of a late out, guess time will tell.

Just noticed your edit re Marshall (got DPP rnd6). Reckon he's a better bet than Westhoff for that ruck cover, plus I am running with RO'B at r3 and English at r2 with Bines Fwd. Plan was to either merge the 2 into Gawn or upgrade RO'B to a Fwd premo but with him looking quite good I can move him to r2 and turn English into Marshall Fwd with Bines as the DPP swing

Changing plans and going now to keep bray against the suns and hope he pulls his finger out

Time to move drew sideways for darling. When he’s that cheap I’m taking a gamble he will return to some form. Will Atleast equal drew and also concerned drew will get replaced soon in the port team. Darling hit 90 last week so hope that’s a start to return to form.

Then moving on Walsh to Guthrie.

Leaves me with 1 rookie in defence in Hore on field

And 1 rookie in rozee up forward who will go up to anyone around the 660k mark next week

Traded Mummy out for ROB, so I'm sorta in that boat too, haha. I feel fine about it, because I really don't like watching him as a player, or like him as a person. Just a big dump truck, who snorts cocaine and knocks people around, because he can't do much else. ROB is much more enjoyable to watch, and I don't know enough about him to have an opinion one way or the other

If you're taking a punt like that, surely you go Drew to someone like Ziebell instead? Looks to have returned to the mids, and not as inconsistent as Darling?

Don’t have the cash too go to Ziebell unless I forget getting Guthrie. He’s my priority this week and will be up over 600k in no time.

Darling is too good a player too play as bard as he has all year. Last year before injury he was in the top couple of forwards

Currently ranked at 233 so am willing to take a few risks to get inside the top 100

Some forward rookies coming through would be nice, don't even think corbett is worth getting.

Can't think of any, any time soon. Cavarra did his hammy in the second half of last week's VFL game, so he's out. Not many remaining that I can think of, unless injury strikes

Rankine could be one when he comes back in, but can't see him scoring that well/is priced at 266K

I was slapped in the face by this realisation also last week. So fortunately I made the right call and opted for Baker over Larkey last week or I'd be rather down in the dumps right now!

Cash gen hasn't been great for me this year which has me tempted to bottom feed off the seriously underforming 'premos' instead of the more classical 1 up 1 down approach. I feel like I'll run out of rookies to cull way too early if I dont start shopping from the bargain bin now.

eg: D.Martin, D.Smith, Dunks, Menegola, Selwood, Westhoff even Ed Curnow.

Not suggestiong to build a team around all of them. But I keep tabs on these guys who've been tossed aside onto the forgotten pile.
Cash generation now can be just playing the breakevens.

Trade out Danger for Dunkley this week. Trade back in 2 weeks would likely be 150k cash generation from just holding Danger. It burns 2 trades of course but if you need cash more than trades.

I don't often dissuade people from their trades, but as a Darling owner last year who got him after his ridiculous form, then he scored 5 from injury and plateaued the rest of the year, I wouldn't advise it. The key difference in those games last year, was that JJK wasn't playing. His scoring is infinitely less when he's in the side. Pretty risky move for someone who's doing so well at Rank 233. I'd keep Drew this week, and reassess next week

Though I agree with you, that's not entirely correct. Darling's best string of games in 2018 was between Rnd 4 and 9, of which JJK played every game.

I actually also had Darling pencilled to come into my side this week (straight swap for Petrucelle on field), however for one it doesnt work with my byes, and two it just doesnt look right having darling at F6. He could quickly become a list clogger I regret. Upgrading to Dunkley instead seems a smarter move than a hail mary like Darling.

But I still like the idea anyway. He's dropped a huge amount of value and has to improve from here.

Baker probably a better prospect for value at Darlings range though (though I already have him).

The way I look at it is that he only needs to outscore drew and I have improved the team. Not every trade at this point in the year needs to be for a top 8 premo in their position but sometimes playing the cash drops is just as effective.

Drew has basically cashed out and hopefully darling goes Atleast a 75ave from here on and that’s a 15-20pt improvement for no cost and use my money elsewhere for now. Darling can also go huge on his day!

That’s my strategy anyway for now! Fingers crossed it doesn’t massively backfire! Means I’m only fielding 4 rookies from here on and that becomes 3 next week

Hoping Hind, Bewley or another 170k rookie is named this week.

At this stage though, Parker > Corbett and Libba > Dunkley is the easy one.

I've toyed with the idea of keeping Libba but I keep backing in Stack to outscore him. What do you think?

Kind of needs to be the other way around I think ? The downgrade needs to happen first to fund Libba to someone ?
