Trades Round 8 trades

Praying no issues arise out of the Sunday games/team news on Thursday because I’m loving the look of these trades:

Libba -> Yeo
Drew -> Dunkley

Neither trade costs all that much and would still leave around $100k in the bank for later.

Bray gets a reprieve, due to Gold Coast. One more week though. He goes 110 or he's out.

Someone > Someone
Libba > Dunkley/Stewart/Yeo

Bray is on extremely thin ice for me as well. The 65 was a solid kick in the balls but it’s mainly due to his 10 year stints on the bench every game. Def/Fwd lines are set for the time being so have 2-3 weeks to focus solely on midfield. The sun better shine out of his ass next week against GC or he’s gone.

This is only bray's second sub 100 score so far, he's shown he can do well in past and he has got goldcoast next week. Im more concerned about Libba. Ive got 300k in bank, so Im thinking
Libba --> Treloar
Drew/clark --> Lockhart
....Still got to get T.kelly, R. O'Brien and C. Daniel into my team somehow

Bought in Cunningham 2 weeks ago -epic fail.
Rocky and Brayshaw struggling.

Been holding Setterfield. Still got Burgess wasting space on bench

Bought in J Kelly and then missed the late scratch, holding Whitfield

Need a premo mid - so probs Cunningham out. Maybe Setterfield/downgrade to rookie - bite the bullet and go Treloar or yeo,

I dont know why people are so keen on yeo, hes had three scores @ 70ish and his only really good score has been against goldcoast. Eagles have a good run till the bye, so a wiser choice here would actually be gaff who's had 3 very good scores and the other 2 (in the 90s) were against geelong and collingwood so ofc can be forgiven.
Also noted is that both collingwood and port have a very good run till the bye too, so it might be a good idea to get boaky or treloar in your team now if you dont already have them.

I honestly dont know what to do with Libba and Adams. Need to trade both and will probably have to downgrade Libba to a rookie somehow then upgrade Adams from 600k to a real premium.

I’m in the sane boat. Used basically all my cash to trade Constable to Adams, so now have to somehow trade them both out with zero cash.

Either have to go bargain bin shopping or Libba becomes a rook and Adams goes up to someone decent.

Surely Yeo? You'd want Dunkley to prove that he can do it again under a deranged Bevo regime before you trusted Dunks. I'm one who traded him out so he needs to rebuild some trust before I even consider him.
Yeah it would have to be yeo. Dont know what i was thinking! Dunkley could be fools gold.

Trades likely:

Parker to Rookie (200k)
Duursma to Yeo via Stack

Reason everyone is looking at Yeo is he is a value for money pick right now. He started the season slowly as was coming back from injury. Had no pre season at all. If this is the start of him going back to the average he put up last year then it’s a good move getting him in at a minimal cost

JDWCE nailed it. Yeo is around $140k cheaper than Gaff and presents significantly better value given he can go at a very similar output (remember Yeo went at 107 last year and came home at 115). Nothing at all wrong with Gaff as a pick but Yeo is well underpriced if he’s back to his 110-ish ways.

If you're getting players at a 140k discount (like Yeo) their form has been sub-par and the risk/reward you are taking is the fact you think they've turned or may turn the corner and will start putting up big scores again vs the fact they will continue or revert back to the bad form they've shown to drop to that discount price. I think there is enough evidence with Yeo that he's more likely than not to rise (like JDWCE noted) as opposed to someone like Menegola (who I've got) who hasn't really given you much to say 'yeah he's on the brink of a massive score/he's going to be scoring highly consistently moving forward'.

Think Libba to Treloar is the move I want to make. Libba has gone under his BE by 64 which is around 40k following Whitfield’s drop and Treloar will drop about 10k.

With 47k to play
Libba (545k) > Treloar (765k)
Drew > To best available rookie in any position should do it.

For most of us caring about overall rank now is probably the time to check out your bye premo structure when bringing these guys in especially if you’re carrying 1 or 2 dead weights on the bench.
