Yeah... not really... ranked 12,000 after captaining Danger :p... My mids are doing well enough to be kept, but not flying. My PODs are doing alright (Stewart, Marshall). Calculated risk trading in Rob for Goldy (before he even played a game) has worked well.

Thanks for the advice, will most likely go Rocky/Pretu > Yeo/Dunkley. Could go Gaff/Daniels, but I'd rather have the extra $170K to begin upgrading my defence (i.e. a fallen Whitfield ;)).

good team....pity there's no DPP to use Marshall as cover over the byes

I've been playing Gawn and Mummy with O'Brien at R3. Im going to move O'Brien to R2 so the question is, do I keep 500k on the bench for the next 6 weeks?
I had Grundy and English as r1 & r2 with RO'B bench and Bines Fwd.......I've gone English > Marshall, moving Bines to r3. Gives ruck cover and bye cover

So, if you have the DPP then Mummy > Ruc/Fwd makes sense to me. If Mummy > someone else, then be prepared to upgrade RO'B if/when Sauce is back ( I reckon they're better off playing O'Brien instead of Sauce anyway)

Thanks mate, I wish I had Marshall up forward.

Yeah so to test the waters I've traded Mummy to a 170k rook, turns out I can get anyone in but Titch if I trade Schrimshaw out, very tempting indeed!

I'm not to worried about Sauce coming back, I have a good setup and if O'Brien can get up to 550k by then, it will be an easy transition.

100% they look better with O'Brien, the kid doesn't stop running!

One has to wonder what the heck has happened to Brayshaw in the week between JLT and the H&A season. He had 150 and 139 in the preseason with 65% TOG and yet hasn't come anywhere near it in the seven weeks of the real stuff despite having 10% more TOG.
Good post. Tell me when you find out.

Have scrimshaw and setterfield maxed out? Both are on my bench def and fwd respectively. Hold or downgrade and to whom?
I've got both. Setters is much more of a risk for mine - in a team crowded with similar types of players.
Scrimshaw seems pretty well liked, and has been solid so far so you'd think he keeps getting games. Averaging around 70 so still got more cash to make.

Upgrading Libba, 2 options

Boak/Kelly
Or
Zerrett/Cripps?

Sort of feel like now is my time to grab Boak, but Kelly seems better value and the 2 mids listed are top 8 certainties also. Any help greatly appreciated
Looking at upgrading boak after his bye but into the mids to give a DPP swing. Reckon they're all tops for positions.

*edit......might be sensible to upgrade to Boak in the mids with Danger looking suss, guess it depends on who your bench cover is on both lines

interesting week - i feel like its make or break time here with some decisions. Everyones had a tough week but its how you respond and smart trading that will sort it out from here
-that said im looking at moving billings on - 88 in his last 3 with a BE of 120 and a tough run coming up + the rnd 12 bye

libba + billings -> boak + T kelly

BUT

that still doesnt get my rookies off field, whereas this may be a smarter (and riskier ) move:

Libba + wilkie -> gutherie (via dpp) + ziebel

Does libba survive another week...

Which one of these looks better:
1. Libba & Wilkie -> Yeo & Corbett
2. Rozee & Wilkie -> Dunkley & Corbett

Dunkley’s role hasn’t been that bad so is it better to upgrade a rookie and grab him? Or does Libba just have to go?

Would love some thoughts.

I'm stoked I took the punt on him last week.

Honestly I still think he's worth it at current price. His bye is favourable too.

Trying to decide between getting him in and on field or bringing Lockhart in for the extra cash next week, but that means playing a Stack/Hayes at M8.

The last time I used the "don't trade him, he's against an easy team" logic, Libba gave me a 39. :think: (In all seriousness though don't trade Bray Danger_zone )

I'd take the Yeo option simply. If Dunkley backs it up this week I'd consider getting him next week for round 9 or 10. The price rise will only be marginal in the scheme of things even if he does back it up this week so I'd say hold off for now.

Kind regards
From a previous Dunkley owner still having night terrors.

Bulldogs don’t have a fantastic draw coming up either so I think you are right, will probably give it another week.

Moving Drew instead of Wilkie also opens up the option of treloar / Boak instead of Yeo. I have a horrible feeling that Boak will average 90 as soon as I get him but he has a great run coming up so this looks like the time to do it...

Going to risk it for the biscuit this week, my team needs some serious scoring potential and I’m going to chase it in a unique way. Liberatore and Heeney out for Westhoff and Marshall. Marshall is genuinely the real deal and I don’t feel it too late either, he is the number 1 ruckman at the Saints and has done nothing wrong for them to even considering brining Longer Back. The Hoff has me a little worried but it’s one of those risks that could either make or break my season even further. These trades leave me with the following side:

DEFENDERS:
Jake Lloyd, James Sicily, Brodie Smith, Xavier Duursma, Jack Scrimshaw, Marty Hore (Answerth, Burgess)

Midfielders:
Adam Treloar, Stephen Conliglio, Angus Brayshaw, Brad Crouch, Tom Rockliff, Sam Walsh, Willem Drew, Jay Lockhart (Gibbons, Hayes)

Ruckman:
Brodie Grundy, Jarrod Witts (Fort, Flynn)

Forwards:
Patrick Dangerfield, Jack Billings, Tim Kelly, Rowan Marshall, James Worpel, Justin Westhoff (Petrucelle, Parker)

Still have the 6 rookies on the ground but they are scoring fairly well and the bench still has cash to make. Would love to move Burgess on though... next week I’ll most likely go Petrucelle -> Rook and Gibbons -> Yeo

Rozee Drew out

Daniel Answerth in

Like Daniel ddp status

I think during the bye rounds I’ll try and get rid of all rookies on the field, with three trades you can do 2 350K guys out then bring in a premo, then after that it’s just upgrading.
