What an absolute shitfest round 7 was

I think Laird and Westhoff will be key upgrade targets for me this week as they've bottomed out

Libba is a massive problem now and will badly bleed cash now, was thinking moving him on last week might be a mistake but Walsh is miles ahead of him and doesn't have the same competition for spots in his position in the side like Libba does. Libba is firmly Supercoach only now, feel Dunkley and a few others will be eating into his points.

Drew might be maxed out, but I might need him this week if Danger is rested.

Gibbons is close to being maxed out too, so he's another trade option

Probably down to Libba (will lose so much cash) + one of Gibbons and Drew for me determined by team selection (Danger etc).

Answerth or Hately will be my likely downgrade options

Danger will be rested and drew dropped...the week drew gets dropped will be the week everyone needs him...bookmark this

Won't be a problem for me if that happens, I'll likely be light in the mids fielding multiple rookies there, but meh.

Westhoff will come in for Drew and Parker/Setterfield looped for Danger

Could even grab Larkey too if I'm desperate as the downgrade option and chuck Danger on the mids bench for a week or something, but don't think it'll come down to that

Carlton got pumped too, so potentially a good reason for Setterfield to return

Drew won't get dropped.
His like for like is trengrove and I don't see someone who plays the same but older getting a gig over him.

Drew had eight tackles in a game where his team hardly laid a hand on Collingwood players in the first quarter. He won’t be dropped he’d only get rested. Hinkley loves him.

Not sure trading Drew is the right move. I have 400k in the bank after bringing in Larkey and Hayes this week. Clark to Answerth seems pretty straightforward. That leaves 530k odd, lots of options.

Daniel and Dunkley look like amazing buys but the Dogs do have a rotten draw coming up so I might stay away just for this week. Merrett, Laird, Fiorini..... The one I like most though is Yeo. Perfect time to pounce. Burgess or Parker out, depending whether I need a VC loop.

Yeo is back to full fitness now. His preseason was interrupted and he struggled to run games out and use his trademark burst of speed. He’s definitely one to look at.

If Drew plays and has a decent breakeven then he likely stays as I have more faith fielding him over a Gibbons type, but need to weigh everything up, like team selection in particular. I don't think there's much difference between Drew and Setterfield to be honest, Drew's ceiling is slightly higher than Setterfield's, but he's played 3 more games which helps gauge a view on him. I see both of them as 60-70 types though that'll need to be moved on at peak price.

Libba is my biggest headache, he needs to be moved on first. He's lost his consistency, if he scored 70s the last two weeks I wouldn't bat an eyelid, but his scoring simply isn't sustainable now with other Dogs taking ball away from him.

Would you have Gaff ahead of him though? Feel both have potential to be top mids, but very surprised at Yeo's slow start considering he played preseason, I thought his poor scoring was down to more internal competition taking ball away from him (similarly to say Libba/Dunkley with us)

If the Eagles are to get back to where we should be then Gaff should be on the wing and Yeo consistently in the middle, which would mean Gaff would be consistent but not a huge ceiling, whereas Yeo could have a monster ceiling. I think Gaff would be a better option if price wasn’t an issue.

Yeo’s training in preseason was hampered and he wasn’t fully match fit.

Butterspud out, which I should have done this week. Instead I traded Constable, he'll probably get named next week and make cash until the byes now.
Libbaspud also out. Think Yeo is the one to bring in.

Trades will be tough considering I blew my entire bank with the Constable to Sloane trade today. Hope I can still get Libba up to Yeo

Scrimshaw > Answerth
Libba > Fyfe and put the C on him this week stress free.
Left with 248K

Dont really have anyone to trade out for Hatley as yet not gonna trade Walsh Ross Stack Hayes or Constable yet

ROBs be is -10 :D

Down to 19 trades but ive only got 6 more spots to fill on my field for a complete team.

I can do Ridley to Guthrie and Constable to Dunkley, which should give me a decent lineup till byes. It's either Constable to Dunkley or Drew to Westhoff, but I'm leaning toward Dunks.

Wish I could make a third trade as I'd really like to get Hately in.

Walsh's BE is now 103 ?? Does that tempt anyone ?? Take max value from him now ??
Nah, he's a borderline keeper for mine

His 74 last week was from 27 possies (12 kicks 15 handballs IIRC), just poor mark/tackle numbers hurt him

Will reassess on his bye, but the kid looks as good a first year midfielder since say Toby Greene back in 2012

Looking through the rookie options

There is seriously none next week

Every single 1 gamer stunk it up bad this week, way too many 30s, nothing to look forward to

That Essendon kid Brayden Ham might be the only one to look at if he comes back in one of these weeks, had a 58 a few weeks ago

Might have to bend over and cop a double downgrade this week if Ham/no other decent prospects are named on Thursday/Friday

**** these rookies, seriously and coaches for not playing them

Answerth did enough this week so he is definitely IN for me, Butters downgraded. The other one was Larkey and I'm not comfortable bringing him in, but like you said there are not many options so I might have to bring in. Having Burgess, Scott and Setters as deadwood is going to hurt for cash gen and also during the byes.

Hately and Answerth are miles ahead of Larkey in regards to scoring potential, but Larkey might indeed have better job security than them

Anyways, can't do anything until Thursday I think when we see teams
