Yep. Geelong poor, Sydney unconvincing (although in a difficult game which may be impossible to take much from), WC not great and only falling over the line despite Kennedy kicking 7 straight.

Opportunity for a team to step up into the conversation. With all our outs I'm doubtful that can be us, but if we're competitive and sneak the four points it'll be massive.

I just went outside, it's actually quite smokey in the east. Not sure if it's coming from the blue mountains like last time they were burning off. Should clear later but would make playing footy pretty hard if it lingers.

When all of our injuries started piling up a month ago I said I'd be happy to go 2-2 from North, Adelaide, Melbourne,GWS. We have already won two so I can't complain, but this game is big in terms of top 4 prospects.

Realistic expectations given how many we have out, but also confident our boys will be well in it.

Let's see what happens

If anyone said that they are more confident in beating GWS than what they were against Melbourne. They are completely underestimating GWS. This is a team that's sitting top 4 who absolutely dismantled Hawthorn on the same ground.
And we all know the outs that we have.

I'm not saying we can't do it, but if we got within 5 goals today considering the outs that we have. We should be very proud of the boys. And wil prove that we are premiership contenders.

I see why we've done it but I really hate going so small up fwd - gives me flashbacks of the important games we've lost in last 20 yrs or so.

Looking fwd to Jong putting it together today. Looks such a clean ball handling beast in the VFL, surely this form translates into top AFL form??

Whoever plays predominantly forward replacing redpath / Tboyd needs to create a contest every time and spill the ball if it cant be marked. Adcock needs to play MBoyd's experienced role in the backline, guy puts himself in the hole time after time and intercept marks.

Confident our mids win today, just need enough scoreboard pressure from our efforts.

Jong functions best as the main extractor in the middle, we also saw it in the NAB cup game vs Melbourne where he was best on for us.
