Plenty on the Freo board calling for Bewley to debut. Now obviously the match committee doesn’t head on over to their laptops to check Bigfooty before making team changes but it’s still a good sign. Less people on the Saints board calling for Hind to get a gig but still a good few. Both teams lost on the weekend which usually helps get a few team changes through. Here’s hoping.
Literally no idea what to do with trades this week. Time for Parker to go? Who is the best forward rookie at the moment?
Then i'll have no cash left over after that lovely trade so i'll probably have to double down (unles Matt Crouch is out for an extended period). Ross could go? But to who? Or I could try and fix up McInernery but there aren't many defensive rookies going around.

There aren't many rookie going around period.
As a result if Bewley or Hind debut this week they're likely must-gets.
I think alot will be forced to do the double downgrade this week.

Dont get me wrong, actually hope like hell Bewley does debut, or hind, or anyone 170 with half a chance of staying in the team, but wouldnt Blakely be well ahead of him? Or do the Freo crew reckon its time for Bewley and Blakely in. I guess at the end of the day it still mean s wait for teams but just realised Blakely still isnt in the 22. Surely he is ahead?

Blakely of course ahead of Bewley but after that performance they've got a long list who can make way to squeeze both into the 22.
I would think all of Cox, Cerra, Matera, Coyler are on thin ice plus Fyfe a chance to get rubbed out. Plenty of spots up for grabs.
Logue can't be far off a debut either.
But this week I would really expect OUT: Cox/Coyler, IN: Blakely/Bewley.

Ah makes sense man. I havent been watching any freo games and no idea of the side really. Just wasnt sure if they would go both Blakely and Bewley. very happy for them to do so though.

Not sure on trades for this week and like many, will possibly depend on teams being named - so will probably be a big Thursday night of trading.... I have a few rooks that may need to be moved on I think (with some injuries too). Did someone say Scrimmie got injured? If so, its out of Scrimmie, Ross and Petro. I was going to get rid of Petro but he is playing Melbourne at Optus this week so may be able to hit his BE at least so might be safe for a week which means I can move on a couple of non players. Thinking if both Ross and Scrimmie are injured and are outs, they would have to be must trades.

I'd be surprised if Brayshaw needed a rest. We're only at round 9 next week and Dockers have the bye Round 12. The entire side lacked energy yesterday. They'll probably just reduce the workload though the week and get him right for gameday again. They need him playing.
The only thing standing inbetween Bewley and a debut is Ross and freo selectors. They've been atrocious in the past making changes.. but to me it seemed obvious they need to do a real rejig of that forward line and get some forward pressure in. Its rebounded like lightning at the moment and their air dominance bringing it to ground was immediately exposing their biggest weakness at ground level when it sling shot back out.
Adding guys like Bewley/Blakely to the engine room allows Walters/Mundy to spend more time forward where they need them more at the minute.
RE: Bewley.. he's been underwhelming in the WAFL. The only reason he'd get a gig is the atrociousness of Colyer, which is the position i could see Bewley getting a gig. But as mentioned, you also have to get Blakely in somehow - which would require a rejigging of the mid mix.

Fairly crazy but can't argue with his numbers so far this year. Awkward price though. If you want a R14 'premo' POD you'd be better off with Higgins for $40k more?
Or look lower down at an Ed Curnow/Dusty type for ~$560k. But neither are demanding selection this week with a BE above their yearly average. Walsh likely to continue outscoring them too.
Curnow looking so juicy at $561k but I just don't watch much of Carlton and don't understand why Curnow's numbers have been so eratic this year (40-50 one week, 90-100 the next?). If those 50's turned to 70-80's he'd be a great inclusion till byes.

Most likely Ross > Lockhart right now as my other trade, but who knows. Newnes could have a new role in the forward line, which adds more complications. Side just gets worse each week, somehow. Sooo done with fantasy this year

Seems lots on your board are calling for wholesale changes. If Bewley gets a gig, does he spend much time through the midfield or predominately forward?
