Still around half a quarter left in the Derby, but you should have a little bit of an idea of who to trade this week.

Mine:

Conca -> Smith
Harris -> Hibberd probably.

Even though I seriously need to upgrade my backs (only have Gibbs, Deledio, Goddard* and Heppell that I'll probably keep), there are some good downgrade options this week if they're selected again so I may do two downgrade options.

***********

DOWNGRADE OPTIONS

Tom Lynch - Although an expensive rookie compared to others (120k), his breakeven will be around -90!

Isaac Smith - Don't know how long he will retain his spot but he's a DPP and is looking at a pretty big price rise.

Paul Puopolo - With Gilham injured and Bruce still out, his spot in the 22 is pretty secure and is looking for a big price rise and is cheap at 92k.

Michael Hibberd - For some reason I'm not really interested in him, don't think he'll hold his spot in the team, open to argument though.

**************

Brodie Smith is ripe for the downgrading with a BE next week to be around the 90s, so I reckon i'll downgrade him to the Poo.

But who should I get out of Nichols and Smith?!? I've only really got Bewick and Prestia (if he doesn't play) as trading options, since Matera has a pretty low BE.

*May not keep

After a few downgrades weeks prior will most likely be doing:

Harris > Boyd
Libba/Swallow > Hodge

Will leave me with a midfield : Swan, Pendles, Bartel, Watson, Boyd, Hodge :D
Will wait after team selections though.

Tom Lynch has the bye this week. So we dont need to trade him in for another week

Will probaley double downgrade this week. BSmith needs to go. Puo JS got a whole lot better with Gilhams injury. So BSmith > Puo. However Hibberds JS is still pretty poor, no certainity to even play this week either. So he could still be on the bubble after Essendons bye in Rd10. Will probaley bring ISmith in...but for who? Curnow or Prestia probaley

Matera --> Smith/Lynch
Grimes --> Puopolo/Hibberd.

I also want to bring Hodge in ASAP for possibly Krakouer, moving Fyfe into the forward line.

Lots of good options coming up, will be very important to make the right choices.

EDIT: Might get Hodge in this week and Trade Matera to Lynch next week, as neither GC player will make a change in price this week.

If Higgins doesn't play: Lower to Puopolo and Harris to Hodge

If Higgins does play: Lower to Puopolo and Mckernan down to Smith

Not totally convinced on Smith's JS as yet.

Should have enough money to go Harris>Smith Swallow>Gun

Will move Heppell to the backs and Silvia back forwards leaving me with

Swan, Selwood, Judd, Gibbs, Traded in gun, Liberatore (Krakouer, Smith, Buckley

and backs of

Adcock, Fisher,Goddard, Enright, Deledio, Heppell, Puopolo (Lower, Duigan, Otten)

Happy with Heppell as 7th back so will need to do one more upgrade in the backs and mids. Still have Knights and Petrie starting forward.

Did I.Smith last week, so i could do Curnow --> Mitchell :)()

Option 1:
OUT: Grimes, unknown mid
IN: Puopolo, elite mid

Option 2:
OUT: Grimes, Lower
IN: Shaw, Puopolo

Leaning towards 2, depending on if I could upgrade a mid. Wondering if Shaw is overpriced at the moment.

In short, Matera, Lower and Atley all look ripe for culling. But I need to trade out Grimes, too. Lots of cash not scoring points. :(

On initial thought I will trade Tapscott to Smith and Matera to Lynch giving me 350k in the bank for 2 upgrades the week after.

Edit: GC have the bye so I will wait till next week for Lynch. Will probably do Harris to Hodge instead.

Did anyone watch the game today. Puopolo looked to seriously injure his leg and only played out the game (tucked in the forward line) because Hawks had one on the bench.

He was visibly limping the second half and and I doubt he'll play this week but I guess we'll know more later in the week.
