Round 9 Trades

Hmmmm tough choice for me this week.

Already done Matera to Mzungu.

Now 2nd trade is giving me a bit of trouble.

Option 1: Swallow ---> Mundy/Murphy/Judd/Thompson

This will finish my midfield.

Option 2: Lower -----> S.Fisher (will only give me $2,000 spare though)/ Enright.

Will also finish my backs.

Thoughts guys?

This week went:

Otten > Jacobs
Harris > Selwood

Team now looks like this:

DEF: Deledio, Gibbs, Adcock, Shaw, Heppell, Goddard, Puopolo (Stanley, Lower, JACOBS)

MID: Swan (C), Boyd, Pendles, Bartel, SELWOOD, Libba (Swallow, Smith, Hibberd)

RUC: Sandilands, Cox (Smith, Derickx)

FWD: Franklin, Goodes, Chapman, Knights, Riewoldt, Darling, Tapscott (Matera, Pitt, Prestia)

CASH LEFT: $114, 300

Next week, I'm planning to do:

Plan A
Tapscott > Mzungu
Libba > Ablett

Plan B
Tapscott > Mzungu
Swallow > Ablett

When we're getting in Ablett next round, should we keep or trade Swallow and what is Libba's job security like?

Which trade is a better option and what do you think of my team?

A proven premium mid over a maybe premium defender. No-brainer, mate.

mundy if you ask me.

Which 2 of Adcock, Fisher and Suckling?

Suckling has played what? 10 games?

Adcock has finally played 10 straight games

Fisher, well, he's playing for the saints....

Traded Gram for Stefan Martin ! Grams price is falling rapidly plus not playing , martin should play the next three or four games and his value is increasing on the back of his 103 last week ! Thats my reasoning anyway and Gram has been dissapointing and does not seem too interested this season :( Made 50 000 also :)

The extra money will help trading in Harris next week for Ablett or Selwood

Better to trade out Libba in my opinion. Swallow has better JS and their byes have finished so keep him.

Why didn't you trade in Puopolo? 92k....averaging 70....going up in value this week....

Hard to know without seeing your full team. Depends what bench is weaker...if you are going to go option 1, I would choose Mundy. Carlton have a finals bye.

Have a pretty solid line up this week so thought i would use my trades to downgrade.

So i have traded
Out - Otten In - Hibbert
Out- Matera In - Mzungu

So have gained a little over 200k which i can use to upgrade Yarran next week, just not sure who for ATM have Sylvia, Fyfe, Franklin, Chapman, N Riewolt, Yarran & Darling as my starting fwd line at the moment, who is the best of the other fwds??

Lower > Puopolo
D Swallow > Mundy

team is now;

Gibbs, Enright, Heppell, Rawlings, Goddard, Duigan, Puopolo (Stanley, Batchelor, L Thompson)

Swan, Boyd, Pendlebury, Mundy, Bartel, Liberatore (Harris, Krakouer, Wallis)

Cox, Sandilands (Z Smith, J Tippett)

Franklin, Goodes, S Johnson, Knights, J Riewoldt, N Riewoldt, Petrie (Tapscott, Matera, I Smith)

here are my fwds..

Franklin, N riewoldt, Pavlich, Knights, darling, krakouer, Mzungu (harper, Matera, Prestia)

Should I use my cap space to upgrade Darling to Chapman?

I would do matera or krakouer for chap in a heart beat, but fall 40k short.

I feel i need another premium fwd.

Chapman in for darling (who has been quite good) yay or nay?

this week went
Atley > Mzungu
Otten > Hibberd

leaving my team as

Backs; Deliedo, Gibbs, Shaw, Heppel, Goddard, Duffield:)() Puoplo (Bench; Stanley, Lower, Hibberd)

Mids; Swan, Pendles, Bartel, Montanga, Liba, Wallis (Bench; Swallow, harris, Mzungu)

Rucks; Sandi, Cox (Smith, Bailey)

Forwards; Sylvia, Franklin, Pav, Chappy, Darling, Krak (Bench; Matera, Tapscott, Harper)

next week;
Matera > Lynch
Tapscott > Smith.

Week after will upgrade mids to have boyd/selwood in and rotate liba/swallow as 6th mid

might upgrade Krakourer also to someone in forwards. any other suggestions?

Doing a double downgrade this week.
Mckernan --> Puopolo
Cotchin --> Hibberd

Ill hopefully be getting in either Chappy or Pavlich next week for my forward line, and also upgrading Libba to Boyd, making my midfield complete. If I.Smith plays next week ill have to hold off on the forward upgrade of Chappy/Pav.

Dont think ill pick up Lynch from Gold Coast. He is going nicely but at 120k and the Gold Coast having 2 of their better games, i dont think he can keep those scores up.

I have Heppell in the mids, so was all set to do the following so I could have DPP link between mids/back:

1. Otten --> Hibberd
2. Toy --> Puopolo

However, assuming Wallis doesn't make the cut, I'll be left with a 0 in the midfield. Then next week I was going to do Curnow --> Jacobs.

Now I'm thinking of doing this:

1. Otten --> Puopolo
2. Curnow --> Hibberd

Then I will do Toy --> Jacobs next week to have DPP.

If I do the first option I am guaranteed this week of having the DPP with Hibberd/Heppell. If I go the 2nd option, I will have to bank on Jacobs getting a 3rd game to open up the DPP. Worth the risk to save the 0?

Obviously if Wallis plays then I'll just go Hibberd in the backline.

I'm just going to get Mzungu in week 3.

Cheers

Sure.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Adcock, Rawlings, Heppell, Poupolo (Stanley, Lower, Thompson)

Mids: Swan, Boyd, Bartel, Montagna, Mitchell, Swallow (Hibberd, Bewick, Wallis)

Rucks: Cox, Sandi (Z.Smith, Campbell)

Forwards: Sylvia, Franklin, Knights, N.Riewoldt, J.Riewoldt, Higgins, Darling (Tapscott, Richardson, Mzungu)

So Option 1: Swallow -----> Mundy/Thompson/Murphy/Judd
Option 2: Lower ----> Fisher/Enright
Option 3: Tapscott ---->ROK?

Nay... as you said better if dumping Krak for Chapman as i reckon Darling will make a great F8/9. Krak will add that extra 40k, if not this round then the next, and chappy is going down atm with his high BE.

Krakouer BE = -14
Chapman BE = 165

Likely trades this week:

Lower -> Hibberd

Tapscott -> UPGRADE??

I'm ranked inside the top 2k but focused on league win, so looking to avoid players with finals byes. If I do the Lower trade I will have $380k cash.

My current prem forwards are Fyfe, Sylvia, Franklin, Johnson, NRoo.

My thoughts are:

- Goodes: for scoring consistency and durability, MID/FWD link and a low BE. Upside capped
- Chapman: price is going to fall in coming weaks and bye in finals
- Pavlich: midfield role, MID/FWD link, durability

I'm leaning towards Goodes. Thoughts?

Is anyone else in a similar position of looking for FWD upgrades?

Pretty much in the same boat as you. Also in the top 2000 but doubt i'll keep it up so i'm bringing in guys that suit my team the best with DPP and byes. I'm doing

Lower to Hibberd as well and then Matera to Goodes. Helps balance the DP in my team and i think getting Goodes now is smart.

Looking for some feedback. 18 trades and 180k.
B: Goddard Deledio Gibbs Shaw Heppell Lower L Thompson B Smith Toy Coad
M: Swan Selwood Boyd Montagna Goodes Atley Harris Iles Hibberd
F: Franklin Chapman N Riewoldt Didak Darling Petrie Krak Tapscott I Smith Prestia

Looking at trading B Smith out to Puopolo since Craig killed him as a cash cow.

Atley obviously is the weak point as I'll have to play him if I don't trade him, the question is who should I go to?

Who would you all pick:
Bartel@411k-Pros, Underpriced, we have very soft draw from round 13 on, could rack up some big numbers. Cons: Finals bye, although it is semi final week so I might have that week off anyway.

Pendlebury@457k-Pros: should keep scoring well Cons: him and Swan round 13 bye. Maybe should wait until last mid upgrade (eventually I'll get Goodes into the fwds so I've got one more upgrade after this).

Mundy@428k-Pros: Consistent, won't get tagged a lot. Cons: what if Freo's injury toll keeps rising, will his score drop?

Judd@405k-Pros: Value and will rarely have a down game Cons: Prelim league bye

Sylvia@413-Pros: scoring well, very soft rounds 22-24. Cons: Injury and susp risk.

Scott Thompson@358-Pros: Very cheap for his average Cons: inconsistent scoring

Mitchell@420k Pros: Can score, good draw late in the season including final game vs GC Cons: Is 61 last week a one off?

Not sure who to take, although leaning towards Bartel or Mundy. ROK's the only other left field option I'm considering due to his low price, but probably should stick with the premiums for the mids I suppose.

IMO Pendlebury but he has huge b/e this week so will be about $30k cheaper next week, if you can consider waiting til then

Well I was always going to have to trade out McEvoy for Cox at some stage - just slightly annoyed that he goes and gets dropped the week Gold Coast have their bye. Leaves me doing these trades his week:

Lower > Hibberd
McEvoy > Cox
