In the highlights package they said a home prelim and if won an assured home GF. Is this set in stone now as a ruling or just another AFlibberflabberLWibblewobble interpretation?

Chelsea is almost back to her best and our younger players are starting to make their mark (Gould, Charlton, Scheer, Martin). Tackling pressure was great, they must be teaching our men 🙄.

No way will any final be played before or after the men.........Covid.

2019 we had rights to home final and grand final due to finishing above the opponent. You'd think it would be the same this yr.

Adelaide lose to Melbourne in the prelim, Brisbane win their prelim and they play the GF in Melbourne.

Brisbane will be closed due to Covid, Vic Government allows Brisbane to enter and the MCG host the game.

They have formally announced that in all finals, the team that finished higher on the ladder will host. The only way I can see that changing is if there is a Covid scare.

Is it confirmed we play the winner of 4th vs 5th?
Surely the AFL know this is stupid

6th def 3rd
4th def 5th

we get 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 6th

Why does Brisbane get the easier game simply because 6th upsets 3rd. They get the advantages for no reason.

It's standard finals scheduling. You assume the highest rated teams will win, meaning 3rd and 4th. Hence 1st plays the bracket involving 4th. If they go the other bracket, and there are no upsets (which presumably is the most likely outcome) , then we would get the harder match.

Of course there can be upsets, but hey, if 6th beats 3rd then they are presumably the best side outside the top 2 anyway.

Which means. If we win the flag there would have just been the one team we didn't beat for the year.

Kind of. There will still be several sides we never played. Although it is worth noting that other than North Melbourne, we have played all of the other top six sides.

The sides we haven't played so far this year are North Melbourne (6th), Carlton (7th), Richmond (10th) and Geelong (13th).
