After Christmas i'm going to set up a S19 team thread, i'll let this run for a few more days before i make the change.
This is also the time of the year that if anyone wants out, please let me know. Hopefully no one wants to retire/move on, but if you do you will have our blessings (most likely, i am an emotional being)
Also to start the New Year i am organizing 3 practice matches for us. Not against other SFA teams, but against legendary Roys Teams. At this stage it will be a 3 match tour against the Brisbane Lions 3pete team, the 1996 final Roys team and the Roys team of the Century to cap it all off. Hopefully it'll get the juices flowing to get our S19 campaign underway.
And finally we haven't forgotten about the B&F. We will get to it.

As you know I am only vaguely around by comparison to the past me. I pop in - and through - from time to time and throw up crap comments here and there; more to claim desperately that I'm still alive than to contribute for the good of the team. Hopefully it's sufficient, because I guess I'm making myself available for the new season to again churn centre-half back into a mudpit with my incessant pacing and desire for wanton women to wrestle in it.
But I do find it difficult to get over-enthused these days. The competition just isn't what it used to be. I don't blame expansion - in fact the 3.5 new teams are one of the best things to happen to this league. It's other things - here and there - that leave me realising my nose is wrinkled when I scan the board. This isn't from the natural aging process, this is an expression of distaste.
Just today I noticed that one of the oldest teams in the league, Geelong, have shat all over tradition and destroyed one of the brands that made this community such a unique and bountiful world to explore. I'm stupified, horrified and nauseous all in one.
I hope we can loudly commit to playing our part at the Roys of retaining the identifiable quaintness of the league where possible, and hold firm against watering our own brand down.
I hope they are happy to have down their party in sullying the beauty of the Sweet FA.
Let's never experience that low.
