2 weeks off due to SOO games saw the Roy Boys return to their first clubs as part of "Grass Roots" Footy.

A couple of players took "grass roots" literally and headed for Thailand - obviously recruited from the Bancock Bombers! We hope to have them back in time for the finals. Another headed back to Yatala Prison for the 2 weeks. Trying to ascertain whether this was his first club, or due to violation of parole conditions?? Another spot available for a rookie.

Yours truly headed back to SA and played assistant coach to my first senior club - helping them to a 0-7 start, the worst in 100 years history of the club! Most it seemed enjoyed the convivial atmosphere of their junior clubs, with many Pie & Beer Nights scheduled to coincide with the mid season break. Roys FC resident dietician has caled for extensions of the tape measure and calipers used to measure body fat in anticipation. (although Grimreepah's club just scheduled a beer n beer evening, complete with footage of him in action as a chubby under 14)

So, after an enjoyable 2 weeks R&R, its back on the track as the Roys attempt to stitch up a finals possy and chase our first flag since '04. Lets make some noise on the SFA page for the remainder of the year.

Played some of my best footy as a chubby under 14. Haven't times changed Fatty? Nowadays it's all about money, fitness and how many kicks you get whereas in the good old days it was about the love the of the game, post match gluttony, and how much you could get away with while the ump wasn't looking.

But I'm looking forward to getting back into it. I've had two weeks off training to get over the zipper incident and I'm feeling as fresh as a daisy.

Raring to go coach. Two weeks at home with the missus has made me homicidal. Just want to line up the opposition and work out some minor agressions.

This was the team we played first up this season, and they beat us. They are a crap team of hasbeens who have not won many more matches this season, and they beat us. Got the jump when he had no idea about how they played the game.

We cannot afford to let this happen again!

Our biggest goalkicker, Yippyio, was delisted at the end of last year. He had kicked pver 100 goals in his first two seasons, then was placed down back for the next 2 seasons, where he still scraped up another 20 goals. Disappointed with not getting more gigs up forward, he disappeared into the wilderness and is not on our list this season.

Our next couple of historical goalkickers are Roylion and Fat Pizza. Pizza does plenty around the ruck, but he's been up forward recently, without much success. Persist! Roylion has held CHF well for a while and had good stints at FF.

Keep Fat Pizza at FF, 100 gamer Roylion remains at CHF. Kooka to forward pocket as he has been a prolific goalsneak and is the only player with real-life big league experience.

Get Slax onto a flank, he is our only player to have ever kicked 9 goals in a match! He shouldn't be languishing on the sidelines.

I would like to suggest JakeThePeg in the ruck, surely he could jump higher with another limb? Her also put home a six-goal haul recently, and playing on the ball should help him get near the sticks.

Lioness is a 100+ goal player from the Seventh Wonders team. What's she doing on the wing? Get her into a pocket again, or maybe even FF!

Another thing I can't believe is how Shaz, who was often winning BOGs in previous seasons, hasn't got a single run this year!

And get Broken back onto the ground ... he's a Mobb Medallist for Pete's sake!!! And he is our games record holder!
