Welcome back into the fray, both MSB Roys (#17) and Shaz (#?? - Fat Pizza stole your number)! I will take this opportunity to retire as a player. Which means we now have a neat 28 player list as required.

caveman has #38 (the midpoint between the numbers worn by Rombotis and Warry).

Jake gets #22, it is available with my retirement. Use it well.

maroon and blue : #21 it is ...

***** The rest of the team's numbers will be attributed sequentially if I don't hear from folks shortly.

#??. scott522 --> 22 minus 5 is 17, so if we don't hear soon, that will be the number this player gets. But 17 is gone, so ho about 5 minus 2 minus 2 (#1)?

I used to have a fantastic book called the Fitzroy the First 100 years but I lent it to some one and didn't get it back. It had all the player info you wanted. You can still get it on Ebay I think as it went out of publication some time ago. Inner city libraries in Melbourne still have copies, I think the Plenty Valley would have one because I rang up and they purchased one. Wacca Irwin was the only 7 I remember.

Mobbs,

Just thinking - with the wealth of talent & depth of list this year at the Roys (a reflection of the sound off-field management) - any possibility of running a "magoos" team - the 10 or so "extras" plus another 10 labelled as "Supp1, Supp2, Supp3 etc". Play the Roys players down the spine & on the ball etc - the Supps around the edges.

This team could play against anyone (independently of SFA) in even a 2 team comp. Would allow everyone to grab a kick & provide selectors with a means of determining who gets a gig in the A's.

I'll pick the team but it would need someone with Qooty nous to sim the game - you know anyone???!!!

Well word on the street is the new recruit for the Roys in 2007 Jakethepeg is in good form and looking to make it into the starting 18. A heavy pre-season training schedule has left him in the best shape he has been for years and he will likely turn more than a few heads this year. Described as a Solid R) footed Defender who can kick goals, and likened to Brisbane Legend Justin Leppitch, he will be a welcome addition to the Roys Team. As the Sweet FA Season begins to shape up, this looms to be an exciting year for the Roys.
