Match due to be played today. We have a lot of bad luck usually with Round 1 (and 2, 3, 4, 5, etc) ... time to turn the tide!

On a side note:

During the Lions vs Dogs match one of the commentators mentioned how the Lions looked like big gorilla's in the one off guernsey.
So I was thinking that The Roys having a giant gorilla as our mascot must have some significance to old Lions.

Gorillas was an old mascot of the Fitzroy club.

I noticed one possible abberation, Maroon Goon missed out on a match despite posting during the match thread. Let's give him a guernsey ... or a goonsey ... next round :thumbsu!

That's ok am still around if needed as a sub or whatever. I saw one of those shell gorilla badges on sunday at a collector fair at Sandown. Yes the track it was in under the grandstands inside.

I saw you added me to frankston page too. I quickly un-added ... I'm an Oakleigh boy ... even if they're dead!

Ha Ha Ha don't tell me.. Dad used to go there as an 8 year old and he absolutely loved Oakley and still mumbles on about it nowadays. Mind you that was 1940 and onwards. yeah its ok the frankston thing i followed Mordialloc

I almost played against Mordy once. Got to the match late and missed out (Mordialloc v Cheltenham, not VFA). Saw about 5 Oakleigh matches.

Yeah Mordi Gone in the VFA. In the old days in VFA they used to get the p*ss kicked out of them each week. Recently i went to a game there in the Southern FL and yep nothing has changed lol.
Geelong West-Prahran-Dandenong-Caulfield-Springvale-Oakleigh-Modialloc and more all gone mate.
For two seasons i went to Port melbourne games but pretty much because a couple of friends followed them and were fitzroy people. To be honest i don't worry nowadays as any local game is good..If an AFL game is on the box,r i'm asked to go to a game i just pick a team on the day lol.
And believe me it really works for me. I don't mind as long as theres a game lol.

Yeah a game's a game. The days I nearly ended up v Chelt was South east suburban league, prior the Southern FL. Didn't even know much about the suburban leagues then.

I have commenced an activity table thread at http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/season-15-activity-table.958422/ (in the Fitzroy > Fantasy Leagues subforum). Will attempt to keep things updated there until I suddenly go awol partway into the season like I usually do.

Hope we can get Fat Pizza and Roylion back into activity at some point at least for their token appearances. Sasquatch has been peep-free but of course might be up-country, and Ed_Gein was afk for our opening premiership match so hope he can come back for a bit of a gloat, ploppy style.

Also had flea29, tassielions and PTizzle all go quite quiet. qutie qtieu qiuet etc

I can't gloat about our last match. I was pantsed 6 disposals. It's taking a while to get these old legs going!
