Joining this game was the last thing I had on my mind.
Responded to something and suddenly I'm drafted and signed.
They played my vanity ... a centreline spot,
Foregoing sanity ... I gave it a shot,
They'd lost apparently ... three games on the trot,

I was nervous, confused and unsure, I was flying so blind.

Saw my sibling piss-farting about on the world wide
web with some game that looked like a consummate waste of time.
He pressured me to play ... said he'd be my guide,
Said it won't take up my day ... though that's where he lied,
So I plunged in come what may ... and the goalface I eyed.

I just prayed I could snaffle a goal before R.B.Two.Nine.

We took the field amongst titans and gods of the Sweet FA.
Looked to Fred, Broken , Pizza and they all sent nods our way.
Buoyed by these ancient forms ... we were riding a wave,
We could weather any storms ... were made naturally brave,
We just knew ... we'd get back what we gave.

When the siren to end the match went we'd blown all doubt away.

Sometime in very early new year, by all accounts. Not sure if you'd signed up for any of the State of Origin sides in the meantime? State of Origin carnival is on at the moment.

I'll stick fitzroybulldog on a flank until Cheetah can be bought out of CHF, he was very impressive there last season.
If Reardo vacates FB, I guess i'll take it for now, I would have gone back to CHB but its possible Maroon Goon had made himself quite at home there. Let's see what he has to say.

This takes royboy 29 out of the Centre possie but maybe we can interest him in a spot on the ball? His competition, royboy2 , Carn the Roys! and 3KZ is Football can always speak up for themselves.

After all, 'speaking up", aka "activity", is akin to turning up at training.

Nah its about a month away. State of Origin is on at the moment. You're always welcome to check those out.

After that will be preseason praccies probably.

New season starts in new year.

Some of you transient types may not be aware but two new teams have been accepted into an expanded league next season. The Gold City Royals and the return of the Alberton Swamprats.
