And to make it even more confusing:

Wests Tigers 2018 Community polo

The use of the blue is actually for the community partner, Beyond Blue.
Unreal. :D

Hahaha wasn't having a go at you seeing you'd do the right thing and tell them off. And it was way before you as you said.
Haha all good mate, I've heard a lot of the criticism about our NSW ranges in previous years. Some of it I really do agree with.

Working in the industry the last couple of years has given me a new insight into how terrible ranges/designs come about. I scroll through some of the old concepts that were turned down by various elite clubs and organisations and they are far better than some of the garbage that ends up getting used. I've even spend days working on ranges that I'm really proud of and full to the brim with excitement about and by the time every man and his horse (CEOs, directors, marketing staff and sometimes even players and coaches) has thrown their five cents in (from the clients side) all of that excitement has diminished and what is left is unrecognisable to the level of work I want to be known for. Its tough, I guess it happens in many industries but now I certainly lay a lot less blame on apparel suppliers and designers when I see elite sporting brands getting around in crap haha.

I did see the new Blues range around four or five months ago. The playing kit looks sharp but I would have like to see a different take on it, the criticism about it being a colour swap of the Kangaroos jersey aren't that far from my opinion. Not sure if the training gear has been released to the public yet but I think it looks poor.

How long has the NRL logo been in Kiwi colours for the Warriors? Is that a recent change, or ever since the NRL log rebrand?
Since the rebrand.
Close but technically 2014, in 2013 they had the green and gold "corporate" logo. 2014 they had the NRL Telstra Premiership logo, in black and silver/white

The full Telstra Premiership logo was the final phase of the rebrand (the corporate logo was just the placeholder for 1 season), so still technically correct.

I'll nitpick even though it's pretty irrelevant but 2013 was the first season under the rebrand.

Anyway, it's pretty irrelevant to the discussion but basically the Warriors were always going to be wearing the black and silver, just no jerseys had the proper logos in 2013. I've got about 6 or 7 Souths and Bulldogs jerseys from that season, all with that corporate logo (part of the reason I bought a handful that year). Got some rare alternate replicas in there as well (Bulldogs black inverse and Souths red/green chevron).

SunWolves jersey explanation: indigenous art, folks...

"This jersey is designed by Japanese traditional Kimono designer, Mr Jotoro Saito. The name of Sun Wolves and their challenge is symbolised in the red colour and the shape of Sacred Waterfall. The waterfall is regarded by Japanese indigenous belief as the place where the divine spirit is living. The design shows the team"s determination to become Top 5 Super Rugby side in 2018."

I'd appreciate it more if that sponsor wasn't god awful and wasn't cutting off the design!

Being an Indigenous design doesn't automatically make it a good design. Look at the Hawthorn Indigenous jumper!

Can't believe no one's posted this on here yet

Queensland have dumped Canterbury Clothing for ISC, ironically a NSW based company, no photos of new jerseys just yet. Meanwhile feast your eyes on Parra's new jerseys and I think they look hideous
