Plea? When does he get sentenced?

Yeah it’s when both prosecution and defence submit more information to the judge for consideration in sentencing. I can’t see him being sentenced on the same day so I presume the judge will set a date at the hearing for sentencing.

It’s going to be interesting at the plea hearing. Lynn hasn’t been convicted of anything related to his post offence behaviour but surely the prosecution will submit these were aggravating factors and should be considered in his sentence.

He hasn’t been charged separately for those offences from what I can tell. Nor has been convicted of any other indictable offence.

Yep, also the victim impact statements, so the Hill and Clay families can have their day in court so to speak.

Given GL was found not guilty of RH’s murder, I wonder if his family get an opportunity for a statement.

Can he be? Can he be charged with anything else as far as RH is concerned? Reckless disregard for safety? And what about the destruction of the bodies?

I don't like this take. IMO The prosecution didn't want manslaughter off the table or it wouldn't have been an option in the first place.

Lynn with Dann wanted it off the table because they were willing to gamble the jury couldn't find for murder on either. Then Lynn would walk.

Of course I could be wrong but listening to it is making me a bit bristly for some reason.

It’s done on Hill. In terms of his post offence behaviour I’m not entirely sure. He’s admitted he did it. I guess it’s a wait and see.

I’m not sure he’s fully across the pre-trial motions. The judge was going to throw out the police interview and his post offence behaviour, that was the only time the prosecution was going to consider manslaughter IMO. When that changed, that’s when they continued to proceed with the murder charges. If I’m interpreting the reporting correctly.

The jury were actually told they had the option of manslaughter then however many days in, the judge said they could only find for murder, the option was removed.

There were two people killed that night, not one and it was quite possible IMO to find manslaughter for one and murder for the other.

I understand the reasoning behind forcing one or the other but it still doesn't sit right with me.

So what do folk think this case is this going to be referred to in future shorthand , as the location name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.

The Jet Star murderer ?

The High Country killer ?

The Accidental Camper Removalist?
Dare I say I’m getting SK vibes. Missing previous partner, first wife death, other missing persons in the High Country, killing animals etc etc.

Is this the map the cops found?
It appears to be the map he drew for them.
Why would he list his medications on the map?
I don't know, but that mix of meds indicates an arrhythmic condition. Requests for cops to get his meds for him from his car perhaps? I did read somewhere that he had been put on medical leave at some point. Could explain the reason for it.

I'd read in the press that Lynn showed them on google maps.

Of course they might have been using different pads over the three days but that note paper looks different to the one used for Lynn to mark up the site of where everything was, it was lined and white, whereas this looks yellow and unlined.

Yep I was referring more to the prosecution strategy of going with manslaughter charges only in the event that evidence was excluded.

Herald sun have said it wasn’t a pet pig, a pig found its way onto the property and he killed it with a shovel.
Sounds like any normal person would do the same! J/k of course, what a nut job, hope they re investigate his ex wife’s death now
Who TF kills a pig with a shovel? That is brutal... what a psycho.
