Kudos Mike Pence

Russian government can just do whatever they want as the Russian people are too scared to stand up as they will also face the same fate if they do. The only way things change there are if thousands and potentially millions of people all unite together against the government

This should be bigger news then what it is.

putin was always going to do it. Just wanted to wait until the west largely forgot about Navalny.

what has happened in russia in the past 10 years has been a civilisation level tragedy.

and it could very easily happen in the west.
Russia is an embarrassment on the world stage.

He resigned himself to his fate the moment he was joking around with the judge, he knew it better just to find humour in his situation as to not let his captors get any more satisfaction.

I'm not sure why he went back to Russia to begin with, he was treated in Germany after they poisoned him. Why didn't he just go in exile?

He stupidly believed he could influence things politically from within Russia and thought Putin arresting him would show the average person how much of a POS Putin is.

Incredibly naive it seems. Have seen an interview where he seems consigned to his fate. In hindsight he could have stayed in exile and attempted to influence political change from outside Russia but that was always unlikely.

One must assume Girkin is also going to end up this way as he publicly called Putin out and was also convicted for his role in the MH17 murder case.

Once Girkin gets an early retirement that'll be Nemsov, Navalny, Prigohzhin & Litvenko that have all been "retired" by Putin & co for their opposing views. Quite the body count and that's not including all the oligarchs / political figures that died from sudden gravity syndrome induced by falling out of windows.

Russia's an absolute dictatorship right now. The thing is considering the size of Russia and its population (140m+) it would actually be near on impossible for Putin to put down a total revolution by the people.

Yep, sure could do with a version of the US's 2nd amendment right about now. Anyone know what the gun laws for citizens are like in Russia?

You know what this means?

It means America is crap and being ruined by the radical left, thanks Don :tearsofjoy:

"Sudden Death", interesting choice of words, didnt say murder,

Does anyone else benefit from his death? Why would Putin have him killed now after having him in prison for years?

Because years ago, he had not lost 100,000's in a war, moved the Russian economy onto a war footing, thereby reducing the graft his backers can steal, nor had one of those backers launched a coup. His rule is weaker than it has ever been, he clearly decided that in his present weakness, a dead martyr was less dangerous than a living alternative leader.

Now for the loony tunes you are clearly hinting at; no, the CIA did not kill him to help Biden. Biden does not have the balls, he is a weak president, too scared to do anything controversial. Furthermore, the CIA is far from the all-powerful organisation USA propaganda would have us believe, they failed to kill Castro in almost 400 attempts.

I'm not hinting at anything. I want to know truths, not speculations. So I always like to ask "who, what, when, where and why"
