Fluoride is basically present in all fresh water, regardless if it's added or not.There's a lot of countries don't add it to their water. Most of western Europe doesn't.
- Western Europe: 98% of the population in western Europe drinks non-fluoridated water, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland.
- Other countries: Norway, Scotland, and Sweden have also stopped fluoridating their water.
- Former fluoridation countries: The Federal Republic of Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, the German Democratic Republic, the Soviet Union, and Finland all previously fluoridated their water, but stopped.
