Ryan Griffen for #1 pick?

I am still at a loss at why people say we should trade him.

He's on a relatively low contract considering his market worth, he's declared publicly he wants to be a bulldogs for life, he captained us this year when Boyd was injured, he is likely to be our captain next year, and if we're challenging for a flag in 2016 (a reasonable date) then during that season he's going to begin the year a 29 year old and turn 30 part way through, where is likely to be still somewhat near his peak. Seriously?

Every player has their worth though.

If GWS came and said - we'll give you Patton, Boyd, and Cameron for Griff, we wouldn't be able to do the deal quickly enough!
