But they have Doogs.

If we had Ray can you imagine how B1 and B2 would get stuck into him because he would always be receiving and not getting the ball out from in and under. S O F T.
Beautifully put.

I'd do that trade too. We need more skill and more pace in the midfield.
I wouldn't do that trade. Not for Murphy. I'm pretty sure Ray isn't that quick. And in the Bulldogs matches I've seen he was average. We don't need an average midfielder. Although I'd concede I haven't seen that many games to make a definitive conclusion. Maybe 10-15. I'd trade Ray for Dunn and third rounder.

I've long thought the Bulldogs and Murphy would be a good match -- not to mentions the synchronicity of going from the Bulldogs to the Bulldogs. He's three times better than McDougall. Would be worth a first round pick if you were going to use it on a key position. He's durable and talented and like Polak would benefit from more regular games and more responsibility.

personally dont think that ray is equal to murphy at all. Plus ray isnt quick enough and not hard enough either

Ray seems a bit soft. We want players with pace who are willing to hit packs and win their own footy. If we are to trade Murphy, Campbell or Mundy I'd prefer a draft pick.

Disgraceful club. You'll lose Murphy by recruiting Tarrant.

We'll lose him will we? Why? Because you say so? Murphy was in the team with Taz at the start of the year but lost his spot to Kiwi due to poor form.

At least Sydney don't have to worry about losing any youngsters since they never develop their own.

i was just reading his draft review from Wisbey. Quite relevant with this year vs. last:

"MURPHY, Ryan (12) [Fre] Lightly-built 6’4” utility. Reads well but is very inconsistent - is very much a confidence player and that confidence can be fragile. Giant gap between his good games and his bad".

McPhee is pretty good. Murphy is in and out of the side, and has never really impressed at AFL level. I would have thought a late first rounder wouldn't be out of the question for a player like McPhee.
a late first rounder on its own yes,but not with murphy

mcphee has had one stand out of about 6 or 7

Why would we want McPhee back? We've already got too many players who only play well when they don't have an opponent. McPhee is not the answer to any of the many questions at Freo. Murphy may well be.

We do all seem to forget that Pav hasn't signed on the dotted line yet - if Pav was to leave, all of a sudden both Murphy and Campbell become very important players.
