This preliminary final match-up pits the Geelong Gumbies up against the West Coast Wonders in what is a home game for the Gumbies at the House of Gumby. The winner of this match will meet the East Side Hawks in the Grand Final next weekend whilst itll be curtains for the loser who can go and enjoy mad monday and start planning for next season....These matches are always intriguing due to former players at both clubs or two players absolutely hating each other....In the past we have had Peterss -V- Kerrby, but Kerrby has since left the club and joined a rival. However this match still holds alot of interest in the media with both Peterss and Perth Swans former players of the Wonders, Whilst Marklar and ShaunDuggan are former Gumbies players, with the latter traded to the Wonders mid-season for TheStinger, who now plays for the Gumbies.

Gumbies looking for back to back GFs, but it may be the former Gumbies in Marklar and ShuanDuggan that back up with a Grand Final appearance with the Wonders

From memory, the Gumbies have a 2-0 record over us this year. Means next to SFA right now. Finals football is where it counts, and IIRC, the Gumbies are on a 2 match losing streak when it counts. Some teams are just better equipped to handle the pressure. I'm sure it doesn't help when your name implies you are soft and easy to manipulate...

Nice write up peterss, although im confused at how I am a former Wonder playing against for old side The Gumbies. Trying to throw me off my game I see, wont work. Reckon its about time I had a ripper of a game and what better place than against the former side and knocking them out of the finals. CE to bag 7 and lead us in to the big one.

Been a couple of good battles between these sides during the regular season and this shouldn't be any different. Going to be close IMO but Wonders to get over the line and face the Hawks in the big one.
